(Minnie pov) (week later- 10th of July)

I had my feet on the table as I read my book in the kitchen, I heard footsteps before glancing up as George walked past me.

"Hey, Minnie?" I hum in reply, "Do you think mosquitos dare their friends to bite somebody with bugspray on?" I blankly look at George as he sat down.

"No, because mosquitos don't have the mind to be able to communicate in such complex minds." I answer.

"Oh I'm sorry I forgot you were the world's top mosquito expert, excuse me." George said in a mocking tone as he waved his hands.

"Are you feeling all right?" I ask him, trying to hide my amusement as he shrugs.

"I didn't sleep last night," he replies, "too many weird thoughts at three in the morning."

"Gimme an example?" I reply.

"The word 'nun' is just the letter 'n' doing cartwheels." He said to me.

"Oh." I furrow my eyebrows and then thought about it for a moment, "OH. oh no, now I can't get it out of my head."

"If humans can't see air but can see water-"

"Yes?"

"-Does that mean fish can see air but can't see water?" George and I look at each other, then I groaned.

"Fuck sake, now I'm gonna be thinking of these all day at work."

I was working today, head in my hands as the bakery's air was filled with chatter, it wasn't packed, but enough to make the walls seem like they're closing in on me.

"Hey," I snapped out of my thoughts as I slowly look up from my hands on my ears and saw Fred. He was frowning slightly at me.

"How long have you been standing there?" I ask, clearing my throat.

"About five minutes," he answered, hopping over the counter as he touches my side and motioned me to walk with him.

"I have work," I said to him, we went through the wall and he picked me up before sitting me on the counter.

"Talk to me," he takes his tie off and hands it to me, confused, I take it.

"What's this for?" I ask.

"Put it on," I do what he asked me I do and started tying the tie.

"Well, it's just a lot of noise for my head to work today, it's nothing to worry about. You know how I get headaches..." I say, "honestly, there's nothing wrong with me."

"Dumbledore's Death," I nod slowly, "you've been off all week, I know that's the reason why, but also there's something else bothering you."

"Are they safe?" Fred looks at me, "are the kids safe at school? Are they even still at school? What will happen to them next year?"

"They're thinking about closing the school down," Fred answers. "Dumbledore's death... it's not safe anymore."

"Is ginny going to be okay? Is Ron— Hermione or Harry going to be okay? What about Luna? I like Luna— is anyone going to be okay?" Fred blinks as I fiddle with the tie.

"There we go," he said, walking up to me, "untie it, then do it again. It helps you." I lean forward and he met me with a small kiss.

"What will happen to the students if Snape is Headmaster?" Fred looked confused.

"Who said he would be Headmaster?" Fred asked.

"I dunno, it's a fair guess," I told Fred, "I just want them to be safe," I sigh, looking back down.
