I grab Michael's arm tighter as he continued to eat popcorn and watch this movie.

I can't with this.

We've been binge-watching scary movies for Halloween in the living room in our pajamas.

Michael was wearing a white tee and black pajama pants with black slippers as I wore one of Michael's big tees.

I was scared.

This movie is called The Conjuring.

Why did my boyfriend decide to watch a movie on Halloween? I honestly don't know.

I hid my face in his arm as I heard the movie play. We were barely getting into the movie and the mother went into the basement, curious about the sounds she heard. I could hear Michael chuckle; I couldn't tell if he was laughing at me or laughing at the mother going into the basement.

I peak a little from Michael's arm after I heard crashing and thumps from the television. The mother looked around while rubbing her head, she looked around. The basement was cluttered with cabinets, boxes, and many more.

Suddenly, a ball rolled off from the cabinet, bouncing closer to her. She started to run back upstairs to the basement door. I hid my face behind Michael's arm again as the basement light went out and the music got louder.

I heard Michael sigh as he placed the bowl of popcorn next to himself, "Yn, are you sure you want to watch this?"

I look at the TV again, trying to watch this horror movie. "I can watch it," I say, confidently.

The mother started to light matches, trying to see who was down the basement. It was pitch black once the match when out. I bit my lip nervously as she quickly lit another one, breathing heavily.

Suddenly, a voice spoke from the darkness.
A little girl's voice.

"Hey, do you want to play hide and clap?" The voice asked from the darkness.

My breath hitched when her voice spoke, I was terrified like the mother in the movie.

Suddenly, hands came from behind the mother and clapped, causing her to move and blow her match out, leaving herself in darkness. She screamed and I hid behind Michael's arm again, quietly whimpering as I heard the mother's screams and the banging basement door.

Michael sighed, pulling away and leaning forward to pick up the TV remote from the coffee table in front of us. "That's it," He turned off the TV and I looked at him, whining.

He looked at me, "No more scary movies."

I frown, "I-I was watching that!"

He giggled, "You were watching through my arm?"
