Location, location, location.
Location is important in a story. Without it, it was just group of words put together to make a little sense. Pero kung may lugar o lokasyon ang ating istorya ay parang biglang nalagyan kakaibang kulay. Kahit nga sa salas lang ng bahay ang kaganapan ng kwento ay lokasyon pa rin yun.
We don't need to have fancy big city names. We can choose a fictitious location where we can build our own city; fictitious streets, malls, schools, hospitals, parks and theater, the list goes on.
We can scout places and cities, if you don't have one mind, or maybe you can make your tiny little town a metropolis with the help of our new friendly neighborhood, Google Maps. Meron silang satelite view, street view at nandiyan din yung map view.
Pero syempre mas maganda pa rin kung tayo mismo ang makakita ng lugar with our own eyes kasi nakikita natin teaffic, mga tao, kung ano ang kalakaran ng araw-araw na buhat ng isang lugar.
We are writing a fictional story, we have a fictional character, so having a fictional location won't hurt our story. Sabi ko nga kanina di ba, mas makadadagdag pa nga ito ng buhay sa ating kwento.
Sabi nga ng mga realtor or real estate agents, "location, location, location", which means homes can vary widely in value due to their location, same goes with writing. Kung importante ang mga supporting character sa ating kwento, ganun din po ang location.
Kailangan ng ating bidang ng babae ang lokasyon kung saan siya matatagpuan ng ating mga mambabasa.
Anyway, atin pong tandaan, sa pagsusulat, bago natin masimulan ang ating chapter 1, dapat ay kompleto na ang ediya natin sa kung saan ito makita sa imahinasyon ng ating mga mambabasa.
