HAVE AND HAS
Ang have kasi ay isang ugat pandiwa na kadalasang ginagamit kasama ng panghalip o pronouns na I / You / We / Ye and They, pangmaramihan yan. In short, plural at kadalasan ay sa pangkasalukuyan o present tense.
Example:
I have to be on top of my game or I'll lose it all.
We have the upper hand on the matter.
Have you ever considered flying instead of taking trains?
Ang has naman gamit kasama ng panghalip o pronouns na He / She / It and Who, pang-isahan po ito, at ginagamit sa panghinaharap o present tense.
Example
She has to do it or it will go to waste.
Has he bought a replacement yet?
It has a lever inside where you can pull it.
HAD
Ang had at past tense ng have at has, di katulad ng dalawang nauna, ang had ay nagagamit kahit pa pang-isahan (singular) o pangmaramihan (plural) ang pandiwa o verb na ginamit.
Example:
She had his love, and he had her trust.
I had three peaches, while you had four mangoes.
Veronica had loved him, but he wasted it all.
Hindi lang yan, may transitive verb pa at auxiliary verb para sa past perfect tense, in short, Subject + HAD + Past Participle verb. Whooo! Sana masundan n'yo ito.
Example:
By the time Luke realized his love for her, she had already left.
I had known about it but I kept my silence.
Paano naman kung may paganito pa? Subject + HAD + Been + Verb-ing?
Example:
Luke had been trying to take Veronica back when everything fell apart.
She had been studying auto mechanics for eight months when she took culinary for a change.
Ang trick lang naman diyan ay tandaan na ang HAVE ay ginagamit sa pronoun na plural katulad ng I / You / We / Ye and They at ang HAS ay ginagamit sa pronoun na singular katulad ng He / She / It and Who. Ang HAD naman ay past tense, mapa-plural o singular basta past tense.
