Don't Ramble

Ayon sa ating dictionary, ang ramble sa salitang Tagalog ay pagsasalita nang halu-halo. In English, ramble is to talk or write at length in a confused or inconsequential way.

Ibig pong sabihin, kapag nagsusulat ay wag maglitanya o di kaya ay magsulat ng kung anu-ano na lang para makabuo ng isang kabanata na naaayon sa gusto ng manunulat para maabot ang bilang ng mga salita o word counts.

We shouldn't ramble. Kadalasan kasi sa mga baguhang writers na katulad natin, para makarami ng word content to build a paragraph we tend to create rabbit hole na hindi naman kailangan sa kwento. Minsan pa nga we go out on a tangents para lang mas lalong mapahaba ang chapter.

But if you come to think about it, essential or crucial ba yun sa kwentong ginagawa natin o we are just giving our readers too much unnecessary information. The story was too detailed to the point na nalalayo na tayo sa plot natin, then we come to realize before we close our story, we have too many loopholes to cover.

Don't ramble. Type whatever your heart is telling you on your first draft, that's the first rule of writing. At least for me that's the rule. Then balik tayo doon sa tip na "write the second draft with your mind. Diyan natin makikita kung ano ang aalisin, aayusin at iiwan para sa chapter na yun.
