Good Time to Write

For some people, writing comes easier right after a good night's sleep while having their first cup of coffee.

Some write in the middle of the right after they do all their morning chores or after lunch while taking some siesta time.

Some do it at night when all the world is asleep when things are exam and about to go to bed.

I tried doing it before in the morning while having my first cup of coffee... well, it did not last a week. There's that you have to make breakfast, make sure that everyone is dressed and ready for school and work or church, it is never-ending.

Then I did, I'll just do it after the kids and everyone leaves for school and work. I'll have the house to myself. Eee!! WRONG.

During this time, you'll get phone calls and you can't say no to it because it's either your mom calling you or the kids' school called for something or there's an emergency of some sort... I wish I had a cabin in the mountains.

Then there are things you need to do before lunchtime or errands to run or doctor's appointment, a call from your church that needs quick attention, and by the time you get back to writing it is after lunch. You missed it.

So, I tried after lunch. It went well for about - let's see... four or five days? Then it went south. There's always something that hinders or distracts us from writing.

This is all true. It is too stupid to make up. I went through it and it is the most frustrating moment of my days. I was not only wasting my time, but I am also losing time.

Seconds, minutes, hours which turned into days passed and I still didn't have a chapter done. I almost quit writing. I don't have readers yet at that time and my non-existing writing career is already over? Oh heck no! I refused to give up.

After all that trial and error of finding my perfect moment, the perfect time to write, then it happened. It was at night when everyone was in their respective rooms doing last-minute homework or they are all on their social media accounts and not caring if you need them or not, I found my good time.

Haaahhh... what a peaceful night. With a glass of warm water, laptop, and laptop light, in my room, I am typing away. I found a good time to write and am still able to do other stuff around me. Well, you can't leave a dirty house, can you?

What about you? How did you find your good time to write?
