“Okay na kami, Yvaine”Paulo said.
Nandito kasi kaming dalawa sa library. Gumagawa ako ng assignment habang nagrereview naman siya. Ngayon ko lang nakita si Paulo na ganito kaseryoso. Mukhang gustong-gusto niya talaga ang course na kinuha niya. Ang kaso sobrang daming libro ang kinuha ni Paulo, babasahin niya ba lahat ng kinuha niya?
“Who?”I asked him while arching my brows.
“Me and Khallie”he said while gently ran his fingers through his hair.
“Who asked?”I grinned while he’s giving me a serious face.
“Do you believe that opposite attracts, Yvaine?”he sighed and fiddled with his fingers.
Is he flirting on me? Tinuruan ba siya ni Twixx? Kasi mukhang hindi effective, hindi ako kinikilig. Mas kinikilig pa ako kapag naiinis siya.
“I believe that we aren’t meant for each other, Paulo.”I replied. I guess that I'm just saving my self from falling apart.
“Ang hirap mo landiin, Yvaine..."he said and I arched my brows while my arms are crossed “Hindi ka marunong makipag-coorperate.”
I chuckled. “Really, Pau?”
He nodded and leaned back on his chair. He also crossed his arms, giving me an attitude vibe. “Why did you saved my heart from falling apart? I know you like me."
“Hindi na kita gusto kasi sinaktan mo ako.”I said.
But the truth is, I like him. I really like Paulo.
“Alam ko naman na gusto mo talaga ako…”and now he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the wooden table. He’s so smart. He knows when someone is lying or not. I didn’t know why I got a friend like Paulo.
“Like what I’ve said before, the version of me you created in your mind is not responsibility.”I said then gave him a wink that made him blush, for real? Is he really blushing?
“Hindi ko na gusto si Khallie.”natawa na lang ako sa sinabi niya. “Hindi ka ba naniniwala sa akin?”
Umiling ako.
“Bakit naman?”he asked and took a deep breath. He leaned on the table and smirked on me.
“I don’t think it’s possible to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.”I replied.
“So, hindi ka pa nakakamove-on kay Kale?”and now he’s trying to flip the cards. But I am smart enough to handle stuff like this.
“I already moved-on from him.”I answered. “The stars weren’t always meant for the moon.”
His jaw dropped. “You’re full of words, parang ikaw iyong kaibigan ko na si Charles.”
I chuckled.
“Is he really full of words?”I asked, I’m curious about his friends. Especially that Charles, wala kasi akong masyadong naririnig mula sa kanya bukod sa palagi lang siyang nag-aaral at hindi marunong uminom.
Paulo nodded while giving me a huge smile. “He’s so smart and he’s good at giving people different advice.”
“He’s good at giving love advice...”he looked at me as he leaned on the table.
“Did Charles talked to you?”I nodded.“Anong sinabi niya sa’yo?”
I sighed before answering his question. “You still choose Khallie raw kahot you know that you deserve... me...”
“He’s so heartless!”he’s starting to complain. “All this time he knew how much I’m trying to forget Khallie!”
And I’m starting to watch Paulo ranting about his friend.
