Finally, the day came to an end and it was time for me to find James. I was a bit nervous, I just hoped it wouldn't be awkward or anything. I hate that so freaking much. Which is unfortunate because I can be a very awkward person. After I said goodbye to my friends and they gave me a small pep talk I made my way to the parking lot. James was already waiting for me by his car. When he saw me, he smiled. "Hey, are you ready for the best ice cream in the entire town?" he asked. I laughed. "I have never been more ready." He held the door open for me and I got in the passenger seat.
Soon we arrived at a very cute place. We got our ice cream and sat down at a bench in the park. "You were absolutely right; this is the best ice cream." I said while enjoying my mango flavored ice cream. James chuckled and looked at me with a twinkle in his eyes. "I am glad you came with me." He said. "If I'm being honest, I wanted to ask you for a while now but I was afraid you would say no."
I looked at him in shock. "You were afraid that I would say no?" He laughed at my facial expression. "Yes, is that so hard to believe? You are a beautiful girl, I'm sure you have a lot of options." I smiled at him. "Thank you, I'm glad I came with you."
After that we just talked about football and my love for drawing. I was really enjoying myself and before I knew it, it was time for me to go home. I thanked James for dropping me of and he walked me to my door which brought a big smile to my face. He is so cute and such a gentleman. "Thank you for today, I had a lot of fun." I said while staring up at him, he was after all, a lot taller than me.
James bit his lip. "Would you like to go out with me again sometime?" he then said. "I would love to." I said sincerely. He beamed up at me and it was hard not to grin back. "I will see you tomorrow at school." I said. I gave him a hug and walked inside. I smiled to myself, I was really surprised by James. There is so much more to him than I thought. I can't wait to find out. I suddenly felt really inspired so I grabbed a canvas and started to paint.
