The death of me
*
The rest of the day went by pretty quickly but I was still annoyed that Blade dragged me to biology. He could probably sense it because he had this permanent smirk on his face that only made me scowl at him.
The final bell rang and I walked towards my locker with Mia by my side. She was rambling on about something very passionately. I was glad that she was in a good mood / happy today because lately she had been acting a little differently. I could sense that something bothered her. I made a mental note to ask her some other time, not now. it isn't the right time. Not when she is feeling good and looking forward to her date with Isaac.
"Hey Mia." I said when she was done talking. "We should go on a shopping trip next week. I could definitely use some new clothes since my style is starting to change." I tell her. She nods her head excitedly. "Yeah I get what you mean. I am in." I give her a smile. We reach my locker and she waits for me to get my stuff. When I am done, I walk with her to her locker. Isaac was already waiting for her so I gave her a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow. Have fun." I wink. She blushes. "Thank you."
"Hey Isaac." I greet him. "Hey Hope. I am looking forward to that bowling thing." He says. I grin. "Yeah me too. But for now, have fun today." We do our handshake that consist of nothing expect our hands that slap each other twice before fist bumping.
I wave them goodbye and walk towards the parking lot where Blade is waiting for me against his car. A couple of girls around him. I roll my eyes. When aren't there girls glued to his hip? I walk down the steps of the school and a cross the parking lot when I get stopped by Cody.
"Hey, Hope was it?" I raise an eyebrow. "Jup." I say while popping the p. He stands rather close to my body and I have to bend my neck to look into his eyes because he is quite tall. "I was wondering if you wanted to hangout? You could maybe show me around town." He says seductively. I would probably be affected if I hadn't met Blade first.
I don't know why but Blade and I just have this insane attraction towards each other. Even if I wasn't fond about it in the beginning, I am not going to lie about it. Now I just use it to my advantage. I am pretty good at reading people and I know that Cody just wants me in his bed. He is new, a bad boy, a player and he feels like he needs to prove that he is better than Blade.
Yeah, I noticed that immediately it was really obvious. He probably noticed that there is something going on between Blade and I. if its just friendship, hooking up or more he doesn't care. He just wants to prove that he can take Blade's possessions. Don't get me wrong I am not some prize to be won or to be taken and I am no one's possession.
I lick my lips. "Sorry I have plans already." I tell him not really sorry. He grins. "Like what? Making his homework?" he nods at Blade. I scoff. "Excuse me." I move to walk around him but he stops me again by standing in front of me. "Come on. I know that we could have fun." I sigh. "Cody, I know what your idea of fun is. I also know why you are doing this. Honestly pick some other girl to entertain you. I am nothing like that. also, I wouldn't piss of Blade if I were you. Just some friendly advice." I walk away from a stunned Cody.
"Hey what was that about." Blade asks me as I reach the car. "Oh nothing." I shrug. "Let's just get home and don't think for a second that you are getting out of art." I say while pointing a finger at him. He groans. "But I am not in the mood to paint." I smile. "Just like I wasn't in the mood for biology." I open the car door and climb in.
Blade walks around the car and also gets in. "Are you seriously going to punish me for helping you?" he says amused. "The only thing you helped me with is embarrassing myself Infront of the entire school, thank you very much." He laughs. "You should be happy. Every girl in this school wants me to touch them like I touch you."
