Chapter 23

The thick tension between the couple was thick as ever. Jin didn't find it in him to even talk or look at Namjoon while Namjoon was drowning in his guilt. He badly wanted to talk to Jin but every time he would take a step towards Jin the next second he would take ten steps back, that's how ashamed he was.

Never once did he stop blaming and cursing himself for ruining his friendship with Jin but what's done is done. He had to same way make it right, but how? That was the question. Namjoon subtly tried to show Jin how sorry he was, like he would clean the house or make sure to fill the refrigerator with his favorite food.

But Jin never looked at him. Namjoon was even more worried seeing the food untouched. He also learnt basic cooking like making eggs and pancakes and other things, every morning making it for Jin but that plate was always left untouched. Namjoon didn't dare tell this to Yoongi knowing he would be super mad at him.

Yoongi on the other hand tried to meet Jin and talk to him. He always knew how much Jin had been through, the whole life history of Kim Seokjin was known to him and when Namjoon told him about what he did, Yoongi felt panicking for Jin. The boy didn't ever complain and he knew Jin would kill himself but never utter a word to anyone.

So he found out about Jin's company and went to meet him. Jin being a polite man greeted Yoongi and as expected faked his smiles not to worry him. Yoongi's heart clenched painfully when he saw fading marks on his wrists but didn't comment on it. Jin rather speak about others than himself and that's what he did.

He spoke to Yoongi but kept his life private. Yoongi respected his decision and never talked about what happened between him and Namjoon even though he was dying to know. Although Yoongi didn't speak about that matter he made sure to take care of Jin. He made sure that Jin ate something in front of him.

Yoongi noticed Jin trying to eat less but he was smart, he sat with Jin talking for hours till he finished. Today was like usual, Yoongi was sitting in front of Jin watching him keenly eat. Jin slowly started eating and talking more but only with Yoongi. He felt nice having a distraction from Namjoon and his sad life.

Yoongi didn't know how much of help he was being to Jin and Jin didn't know how hurt Yoongi felt seeing him so sad. They always shared a deep bond and cared for each other even if they don't talk on a regular basis. Yoongi respected Jin knowing how mature person he was and Jin always believed and leaned on Yoongi when he needed him.

Between their pure friendship their was someone who was watching them with jealousy. They had fire in their eyes watching Yoongi and Jin at something. "How could you do this to me Jin? You knew yet you betrayed me. I'll make you pay for it" they muttered to them self with hatred. The person walked away with angry tears brimming in their eyes.

Yoongi sat staring at Jin, who shifted uncomfortably, "You know Jin, life is very unfair. Everyone wants happiness but they don't want the pain. We all run to others looking for happiness when we don't realize that we can find it our self. Keeping grudges, revenge and all these make our lives painful and we go out looking for happiness. You know what I think? I think we should let go of what bad happens, try to forget and forgive who hurt us. We shouldn't be burdened with the unnecessary baggage. What do you think?" he asked.

Jin gulped lightly taking in everything that Yoongi said. He didn't know why, but it felt like Yoongi was telling him to talk to Namjoon and forget what happened. But Jin couldn't, the things weren't that easy to be forgotten yet he still felt it right. Jin licked his lips and nodded his head, "You're right" he said slowly.

Yoongi smiled victoriously, "Glad we are on the same page" he said trying not to look excited. Jin forced a smile and got back to eating, trying not to show any sort of reaction. Yoongi joined in eating with Jin happy that he could convince Jin to talk to Namjoon and let him explain. Soon Yoongi left to his office, with a sense of relief.

Yoongi passed Namjoon's cabin and frowned when he found it empty. Thinking he must have gone to cafeteria, he shrugged it off and walked to his office to finish his share of work. Yoongi made a note to talk to Namjoon tomorrow and ask if everything went well. "The things I do for him" he said clicking his tongue.

He went back to his apartment and sincerely hoped that tomorrow would be better for Namjoon and Jin. He just wished that Namjoon wouldn't fuck up for once and apologize to Jin also that Jin would let Namjoon explain himself and forgive him. Yoongi knew Jin wouldn't be mad at Namjoon for long but he highly doubted Namjoon.

Jin took Yoongi's advice and thought about it. He thought it would be fair to talk to Namjoon and get rid of the stress that's building upon him. Though his nerves were killing him, he still decided to give it a shot instead of dying everyday in his misery. With that, he went home early to sit and have a calm talk with Namjoon.

He glanced around the house and it was quiet. The silence creeped him out, making him nervous for some reason. Jin huffed and walked in, ignoring his nerves. He changed into comfortable clothes and went into kitchen, checking for groceries. When he saw the refrigerator full of things he liked, a smile appeared.

Jin looked at everything and smiled shaking his head with fondness, "That idiot" he muttered softly. Jin shut the refrigerator and started preparing dinner for him and Namjoon. As bad as he wanted to stay mad, he couldn't. He couldn't stay away from Namjoon and pretend to ignore him when he actually wasn't.

Satisfied with his choice of food, he looked at the clock and hummed, "There's still time for him to return" he said slowly going to sit on the couch. He decided to rest till Namjoon came and closed his eyes for a while, accidentally falling asleep. By the time he woke up it was completely dark outside.

Rubbing his eyes sleepily he looked around seeing if Namjoon came. He frowned heavily and stood up walking to Namjoon's room. Carefully he peeked in but Namjoon wasn't there. The ugly feeling in his stomach started coming back with full force. He bit his lips and took out his phone calling Namjoon.

His calls were being sent to voice mail and Jin couldn't help but feel worst. His sixth sense hinted that there was something wrong and he couldn't ignore that dreadful feeling. He walked around the house and something caught his eye on his door. A paper was stuck to his door which Jin hadn't seen.

He took the paper which said, "I'm sorry". Jin started breathing uneasily. The handwriting was undoubtedly of Namjoon's but what did he mean sorry for? Jin rushed in Namjoon's room and found it empty with all his clothes gone. Jin was trembling seeing Namjoon's room empty and his clothes all gone.

He sat down having no energy to stand. It felt like a truck hit him with full force and everything was happening in a daze. Jin looked at his phone and immediately dialed Yoongi. Yoongi picked up, groggily answering him, "What do you want?" He asked still sleeping. Jin gulped and shakily whispered, "He's gone".

Yoongi started waking up and sat up hearing Jin, "What? Who's gone Jin? What the hell is happening?" He asked panicking slightly. Jin sobbed, "Namjoon, he's gone. He left the house" he answered the best he could. Yoongi couldn't process and asked Jin to calm down and that he was reaching to his place.

Jin nodded crying. He held his head in his hands, "Where are you?" He muttered with tears streaming down his face. Jin heard the door open and quick footsteps coming towards him. Yoongi looked around and saw Jin sitting on the floor crying and kneeled in front of him, "What happened?" he asked and Jin just handed him the paper.

Yoongi read it loud and cursed at Namjoon. "That motherfucking son of a bitch" he said and Jin cried, "What am I gonna do?" He asked and Yoongi sighed calming himself, "Stop crying. We'll look for him, okay" he consoled Jin who nodded hesitantly and stood up following Yoongi to his car, "Oh god, let him be close" he prayed.

Namjoon left.
There is someone who is back of Jin.
Yoongi is angry.
Jin is crushed.

What else could go wrong?
