Chapter 53

Bang Sihyuk was busy meeting everyone in the party. He knew everyone in the party and got talking to them about the business deal. So far, everything was going fine. He had introduced Hoseok to all of them, Ami was enjoying with Tae and Jimin but there was no sign of Jin. Sihyuk kept looking for Jin but couldn't find him.

Chang Ho called him for dinner and Sihyuk joined him. He saw Mr.Kim, Mr.Park, Yoongi already at the table. He knew he shouldn't panic but not seeing Namjoon kind off made him anxious. He tried to not think anything and forced himself to ignore the absence of Namjoon. The men all got talking about random things.

Mr.Kim was silent for most of the time. He looked at Sihyuk and gave a small smirk before looking at the faces around the table. He cleared his throat and leaned front, "So, Mr.Bang" he said loud enough to get Sihyuk's and well, others attention. When they all looked at him, he smiled before continuing.

"I heard that you aren't married. Then how do you have children?" Mr.Kim asked trying not to sound rude and like he knew the truth. Mr.Park was genuinely curious hearing Mr.Kim and looked at Sihyuk, who had a small smile on his face. Sihyuk didn't respond right away and then gave a sly smirk making Mr.Kim a little suspicious.

"I see, you're very interested knowing about my life, Mr.Kim" he said staring at Mr.Kim with sharp eyes. Bang Sihyuk didn't take his eyes away from Mr.Kim, sipping his wine and Mr.Kim chuckled lightly, "Well you know how things happen in this field. It's all business, Mr.Bang" he replied smiling. Sihyuk laughed but was angry too.

Sighing lightly, he looked at Mr.Kim with a lazy smile, "You're right. I never married and they aren't my biological kids. But who cares? I believe they are my own blood and they believe I'm their father. We are happy that way" he said shrugging at the end, holding the glass. Mr.Kim stared at Sihyuk blankly, he wanted to ask many questions.

Questions like how could Jin become his son. How did he find Jin and what made him adopt Jin when Jin had his family waiting for him. Bang Sihyuk smirked, he knew he avoided the topic which Mr.Kim was trying to get to know, the matter that he was keen on knowing. But Sihyuk didn't want to reveal anything, not about Jin without him.

Mr.Park glanced at Sihyuk, he wanted to ask many things, but he didn't how to so he just gave up and sat back in his seat, playing with his food. Sihyuk sighed, he knew all the people on the table were related to Jin and were genuinely concerned about him. They wanted to know about his life in the past years and Sihyuk decided to tell them.

"I found Ami when she was 14. It wasn't so fancy and fairy tale like story, I saved her from going to jail and she chose me as her father. I was glad to have her. Things were normal for us and then years later, Ami and Hobi found Jin. He wasn't in his best condition." He trailed off with a sorrowful sigh.

The men around the table wore worried faces. "Must I add how suicidal he was? He was saved from drowning and when we asked about his family, he said he didn't have one. I took him in, he needed someone to look after him and I was fine with it. From that day, I am a happy father of two great children." he ended proudly.

Sihyuk smiled recalling the day when Jin and Ami called him father. The tension around the table was thick. It got from peaceful to awkward in no time and no one knew how to change it back. Chang Ho licked his dry lips, finally wanting to know about his worries, "Did you know about Jin then?" He asked carefully.

Sihyuk shook his head and Chang Ho continued his questions, "Didn't you try to find out about Jin's past? He could've been a murderer, a thief, a criminal, how did you trust him that easily?" He asked confused and weirded out. Sihyuk sipped his drink, "The minute I saw him, a shiver ran down my spine." He started.
