Chapter 50

Today Jin was going to the Kim's company for a meeting regarding the project. It had been a week since they officially signed the contract of the partnership, with the other 3 companies. Seokjin had no problem with this partnership, he was scared. Scared that the feelings he suppressed deep in his heart would resurface.

Feelings that he once held for the people, feelings that pushed him to pit of helplessness, feelings that made him want to end everything. Even now when he thinks about the day where he was first blamed, his heart hurt the same way it did for the very first time. The pain that was now very common for him, the pain that had a bigger place in his life.

Sighing deeply, Jin tried to control his nerves. He didn't want to appear weak or hesitant now, it was the question of his company and his father. Jin confidently walked in the company where every CEO participating in the partnership were waiting for him. Jin greeted them with a bow and soft smile, not forgetting his manners.

Chang Ho and the other were really pleased with him for not being a jerk. They all sat down and discussed the last details about the project. Jin ignored the stares of Namjoon and Jimin, which were boring holes into his head. Jin was the first to sign the contract followed by everyone. Ami stayed next to Jin the whole time.

Jimin smiled at Ami, remembering her from the party but Namjoon had a whole different idea about Ami sticking close to Jin. He wanted to ask what was she to Jin, who was she to cling to his Jin but Namjoon held back his urge, glaring at her every chance he got. Ami was weirded out by Namjoon but paid him no mind.

Chang Ho invited Jin to a formal dinner, where they all were going to celebrate. Ami grew excited and nodded eagerly while Jin hesitated. Ami smiled at Jin, showing her puppy eyes, which forced Jin to accept the invitation which again made Namjoon jealous. How he wished he could be the one to make Jin melt.

Yoongi noticed the stare Namjoon had at Ami and snickered mentally, 'That shithead is gonna get it' he thought already knowing a bit about Ami's temper. Jimin on the other hand had his eyes on Yoongi, glancing at him sneakily, unknown to how Yoongi always noticed his stare. Jimin's pretending game was so bad that everyone in the room noticed it.

Ami sensed it and in 2 seconds, she caught the unusual thick tension between them. She knew that Jimin had something for Yoongi and was crazy for him. But what she didn't know was how Yoongi felt for him. She didn't notice Yoongi's eyes pouring hearts for Jimin. Mr.Park too observed Jimin's lingering eyes on Yoongi, getting suspicious about them.

Chang Ho pleaded Jin to come at the restaurant to dinner and Jin nodded with a forced smile, he couldn't bring himself to hurt Chang Ho. Ami was bubbling with excitement and Chang Ho glanced at her, "I hope to see you both at the dinner" he said smiling at her and Ami nodded earnestly earning a sweet smile from both the men.

Chang Ho ruffled her hair affectionately and patted Jin's shoulder before walking away. Jin glanced at Ami and rolled his eyes, "I can see you're about to burst. Let's get out of here before you make me push you down the stairs" he said and Ami scowled, "I'll eat all your jellies. Don't test me, Bang" she threatened.

Jin slightly panicked but masked his expression with a mocking smile, "You and your stupid threats" he said quickly walking to the car. Ami smirked wickedly, "Targeting his jellies always works" she mumbled to herself. Jin honked the car and Ami flinched a little, rushing to the car where Jin was waiting.

They both drove back first to their company to wrap up their work and then left to their house to get ready for dinner. Jin was a little hesitant knowing that the entire families were going to be there and he didn't want to face them. How he wished Sihyuk to be there to be there to support him.
Gulping down his nerves, he prepared for the dinner.
