Chapter 34

This is when Namjoon and Chang Ho went to college for Jimin.

Namjoon talked to Jimin and left him. Even if Namjoon knew it was his fault he still couldn't help but also blame Jimin. He didn't want to be heartless to his friend but his heart knew better, the friend that he didn't want to hurt had ruined his happiness, took away his first love yet he didn't want to blame him.

He got into his car still thinking about the incident that happened in college. His knuckles were white from gripping the steering wheel wanting to drive back and kill Minho. He gritted his teeth, "I should've killed that fucker the first time" he muttered angrily remembering the night when he first tried to catfish Jin.

Unconsciously, he didn't realize he was speeding but he broke so many signals, overtaking many cars. But for his luck he didn't get stopped by the police or if he did, he wouldn't have given a damn. He thought his life was mess anyway and getting into problem didn't matter anymore.

He reached his house but didn't get out of the car trying to calm his rising anger. He was glad that his father had given him some time to get over the loss he faced which suddenly didn't seem so helpful. He rather work than surround himself with the taunting thoughts of Jin making it difficult for him to move on.

Ruffling his hair in agony, Namjoon got out with pain in his heart. As he was opening the door he heard some rustling and turned around to see a small tiny puppy trying to come close. He frowned and watched the puppy stand at his feet, wagging his tail excitedly. He smiled and crouched down petting the cute dog.

"Where did you come from little guy?" He asked softly trying to stop the pup from climbing up on him. He got so busy playing with the tiny creature and didn't notice a woman standing at the gate, "Oh, he's back" she exclaimed startling Namjoon. The pup barked at the woman who only smiled at him, laughing at little at his excitement.

Namjoon simply stared at the elder women, who was busy cooing at the puppy. She seemed to feel Namjoon's eyes and looked at him, "Ah, are you new here? I never saw you here before" she said making Namjoon gulp a little and shake his head, "I live here" he said, not mentioning about being Jin's husband.

The woman frowned, "Did Jin move out? If so why didn't he tell me?" she muttered slowly but Namjoon heard her, "You knew him?" He asked surprised and the woman nodded, "Yea, he was a lovely boy. This puppy is also here for Jin, he used to feed him and take care of him once he saved him from the big dogs" she explained dreamily.

Namjoon looked down at the pup and smiled running his hand over him. His attention diverted to the woman when he heard her sighing deeply, "Poor boy had to go through so much because of someone else's mistake" she said sadly staring at the pup. Namjoon frowned, "He told you that?" He asked but the woman shook her head with a smile.

"He was a pure soul. He would never complain when a lady would insult him, he wouldn't protect himself when she would slap him. Many a times I had to chase that lady away with my cane but he never complained about her. Such a brave boy" she said sadly making Namjoon freeze. He never knew his mom had physically abused his husband.

Sighing the woman looked at Namjoon who was stunned, "I'll give you some food for that little one. I always made food for Jin and he would share it with that puppy. You can feed to him" she said eagerly but Namjoon stopped her, "You used to give him food? Why?" He asked softly gulping the knot stuck in his throat.

The elder woman huffed, "That lady who used to torture Jin, had taken away his money. She took away his cards telling that he was wasting her son's money but when I asked if he really was using her son's money he denied and said that it was his money which he was sharing with her son. There was no money and no food for him. He didn't even have a good job because of that witch" she spat.
