Chapter 54

The days passed by as the work on the project officially started. The project turned out to be more important than everyone thought and they all were working hard for it. Somehow, it was decided that till the project comes to an end, they all will meet at  Namjoon's company for any discussion or meetings.

Jin wanted to oppose the decision but then no other company was as bigger as Namjoon's with many room, offices and other facilities. Mr.Park had given the responsibility of the project to Jimin while he handled the other projects. Mr.Kim was there, wishing to have a son, who could handle his company after him.

Mr.Kim could've made Tae join his company but he wanted his son to chase his dreams. He was proud of Taehyung's accomplishments and had no regrets over letting Tae do as he liked. Tae though tried to accompany his father as much as he could after his schedule and Mr.Kim was more than grateful for it.

Tae had learned the basic information of running a company coz he knew that one day, he'll have to take his dad's place in the future. Tae was very thankful that his father allowed him to pursue a career out of the business field. He thought just like other parents, his too, wouldn't allow him to do something else other than following his footsteps.

But Mr.Kim was different, he prioritized feelings over money so he let Tae choose a career other than business. Tae appreciated his father and always tried to follow him and become a good man just like him. Tae kept coming to the company with his dad. He sometimes came with Jungkook but most of the time, he was alone.

Jin observed Tae everyday, sneakily of course, and was very confused seeing him alone without Jungkook. He always wondered if they both were the same people that he knew from 6 years ago, boys who were too much in love. But then, he changed himself, so why wouldn't others change? This question made him stop dwelling on their relationship and focus on his own life.

Jin couldn't ignore the obvious changes he saw in Tae, the cheerful and positive boy was now serious and barely smiled. It was no doubt that Mr.Kim was worried about him and always wished for his goofy child to return. At some point, he blamed Jungkook for it. Jin pretended to not hear Mr.Kim but he knew better to not meddle in.

But there were other things too that made Jin so curious about Tae's behavior. The said boy had been spending a lot of time with one particular boy in the company, Park Hyung Sik. Now Jin didn't want to accuse Tae of cheating on Jungkook but he was slightly alarmed seeing the friendship bloom between them.

Jin had met Park Hyung Sik, a few times and he couldn't help but conclude that the man was a good person. Jin didn't mind seeing him and Tae get close, he just didn't want anyone to be hurt at the end, by this new friendship. Jin simply sat back and observed Tae and Hyung Sik along with Jungkook.

Today, Jin went alone to the company for some reason. The other people like Jimin and Mr.Kim had already visited, but due to Jin having a tight schedule, couldn't come early. He went in late and found Yoongi waiting for him. Yoongi welcomed Jin and directly jumped to the topic, not wanting to make anything awkward.

The discussion happened for some time and they both came to some agreement. Jin was curious to know where was Namjoon and why was Yoongi handling the company. Yoongi seemed to sense his question and grinned mentally but keeping a stoic face on the outside, he talked, "So, Seokjin-ssi, I'll hope to see you soon".

Yoongi looked at Jin, who nodded a little forcedly which made him bite his inner cheeks from not burst out in teasing smile. Jin was about to walk out but stopped, "Uh, Yoongi-ssi, Is everything alright?" He asked nervously, hoping Yoongi would be dumb to understand his really question. But Yoongi was a smart ass.
