Chapter 61

Jin left Sophie's place on weekend's night after a lot of emotional drama. Ami was happy that she finally had a mother, Sophie was gushing over Hobi, asking Ami and him to get married. It was over all an eventful weekend. Sophie and Jin didn't talk about the last night events, which was yet to be discussed.

Today it was the starting of week, the dreadful Monday which most of the people hated, just like Jin. He forced himself out of his comfortable bed and pushed himself to get ready for the office, hoping that today would be easy. Ami was yet to wake up and Jin sighed, it was nothing new. Jin banged the door of Ami's room and yelled at her to be quick.

Like routine, she quickly got ready for the office and met Jin downstairs for breakfast. After a rather lazy breakfast, Jin and Ami drove to their company, ready to start the day. They both were greeted by many people on their way to their cabin. Ami started the day by reminding Jin of his schedule for the day, like his meetings and other stuff.

Jin was now in his professional role, oozing with authority, which made Ami to get serious as well. They both started their work and luckily, it was easy going. Jin was happy that for once all the paperwork was correct while Ami was glad that she wasn't running in and out of Jin's cabin, hearing him yell over petty things.

Some time during the mid day, a female walked into Jin's company and requested to meet Jin. The receptionist called Ami, informing her about the woman and Ami asked her to send her up. The receptionist guided the woman telling that Ami was waited for her. In a few minutes the female stood in front of Ami, asking to meeting Jin.

Ami was a little intrigued, she knew the woman but doesn't remember from where. Ami asked why was she wanting to meet Jin, but the woman refused to tell her and asked her to tell Jin that Jiae was there to meet him. Seeing the stubborn woman, Ami gave up on getting answers and knocked on Jin'a cabin.

Ami walked in, closing the door, "Seokjin, there's some lady standing out. She wants to meet you" she said and Jin frowned, "A lady? Did she say why?" He asked but Ami shook her head, "Nope, she only asked me to tell you that 'Jiae is here to meet you'" she said shrugging and Jin's head snapped towards Ami, taking her by shock.

Jin was shocked hearing his ex mother in law was here, wanting to meet him. Jin came out of his shock, composed himself and asked Ami to send her in, also telling her to not come in unless Jin called her. Ami frowned but nodded, she would ask later and left to call Jiae. Jin stood up from his chair to meet Jiae.

Jiae walked in shyly and saw Jin waiting. She smiled at him and Jin bowed his head in return. "Hello, Mrs.Kim, what can I do for you?" He asked politely but his nerves were all over. Jiae sat opposite to Jin and simply stared at him, slightly making Jin uncomfortable. Jiae gave a bitter smile, "How are you Jin?" She asked softly.

Jin was baffled, he didn't know why was Jiae here in his company at the first place, but he nodded slowly, "I'm fine Mrs.Kim, how are you?" He asked not to seem rude. Jiae shook her head, "I'm not fine. I'm not fine at all" she answered with a heavy heart. Jin was concerned seeing Jiae but he bit his tongue, not wanting to appear nosy.

Jin didn't know what to respond and pursed his lips. Jiae sighed loudly and looked at Jin with guilty eyes, "You must be wondering why am I here, right?" She asked and Jin right away nodded. Jiae felt her eyes getting clouded with tears, "I came here to apologize Jin. I want to apologize for what all I did in the past" she said in a shaky voice.

Jin's eyes hardened at Jiae's plea. He was trying to be polite but now that Jiae was here for something that Jin didn't feel anything for, he couldn't stop himself from being a jerk. Jin smirked, "Took you long enough to come and apologize, Mrs.Kim" he said not hiding the bitterness in his tone. Jiae didn't expect Jin to be all sweet, she knew it was coming.
