Procrastination

"Jisung, can you go check on the 00s?" Johnny asked since Jisung was just sitting there and watching them run the cafe while Mr. and Mrs. Suh went out on a a date night. 

"I thought you said we couldn't go in the basement."

"That's because I'm keeping everyone out so they can get distracted on their work. I need you to make sure they're actually working."

"So I can go downstairs?"

Johnny sighed, taking advantage of the customer that appeared at the counter to not answer him just yet. Jaehyun noticed this and gave Jisung a nod, sending the eleven year old running downstairs. 

He came back up within a few seconds and waited for Johnny to finish up with the customer so he could snitch. 

"They're not working."

"Doyoung?"

"Already on it. Ten? Kun? I'm gonna need backup."

Jisung sat back down on his stool to watch as the 96ers went to the basement to see what was going on. Ten was just coming along for the drama, but he knew he'd probably have to calm down Doyoung and Kun at some point. 

The entire 00 line was laying in a circle on the floor, their heads all towards the phone they were circled around. Sad music was playing, and they didn't even flinch at the sounds of the three coming down the stairs. They were completely out of it. 

"I thought you said you had lots of work to do?" Doyoung stood at the edge of their circle, right by Jeno's feet. 

"Yeah but we don't want to. We're exhausted and it's too much." Haechan whined, Doyoung and Kun sharing a glance. Ten at this point was questioning if he was going to lay down on the floor and join them. 

"It still has to be done, though."

"Shotaro, you're not even in any of their classes, why are you protesting?" Kun asked, and he shrugged. 

"Johnny didn't notice me sneaking down and it looked like fun. I don't even have homework."

"What class do you each have to do?"

Multiple mumbles fired off at once, the majority of them being history except for one art and a math.

"You're good at math, you like math, so why isn't it done?" Kun asked YangYang, and he sighed a sigh that would've come from an old man. 

"I just don't want to."

Doyoung was about to quit before be even started when Ten laid down with the 00s, but he opted for a deep breath. He knew if they didn't get their work done that their grade would drop and they'd get in trouble with their parents, if they even checked, and he wasn't going to let that happen on his watch.

"What's going to make it bearable and get you through it?"

"Not having to do it." Renjun retorted, Haechan giving him a high five. 

"Besides that."

"Ambience music." YangYang spoke up, so Doyoung grabbed his headphones and handed them to him. 

"Watching a movie while I do my art." Jaemin commented, catching on. 

Ten rolled over and grabbed his phone, pulling up Netflix and giving Jaemin his earbuds so he wouldn't distract the others. 

"Hot cocoa."

Kun took Jeno's hand and pulled him to his feet, taking him upstairs to help make it. They got a little creative in the process, adding vanilla ice cream to it so it wouldn't be too warm and so if it cooled while he was working it wouldn't become bitter. 

"Jun, Haechan, what's going to make it better?" Doyoung repeated, standing over the only two remaining. Except Shotaro, but he didn't count since he didn't have work. 

"Sheer force. Bring in on, Bunny! Let's see what you can do." Haechan taunted,  and Doyoung smirked. 

"Okay. I see how it is. Renjun, every time you get distracted you have to do ten push-ups-"

Ten cut him off, an evil smile on his face. 

"Every time Haechan gets distracted he has to drink a cup of water and he can't use the bathroom until he's done."

"That's torture!" 

Both Renjun and Haechan were now sitting up in shock at what the older kids were making them do. It was almost like Ten knew Haechan already had to pee for the past half hour but had been too lazy to walk upstairs. 

"Should've picked something nicer, then." Doyoung gave them a sweet smile before snapping and pointing to their work. 

Their tactics worked, though. They all happily got through their work now that it wasn't so bad, and Haechan and Renjun were the first ones done with Ten's hawk like glare making sure they didn't stop for a second. 

Shotaro was pretty satisfied watching the movie with Jaemin without sound, occasionally stealing a sip from Jeno's hot cocoa. He was the real winner here.
