Jeno huffed as he watched Doyoung finish doing his hair, taking a sip from his homemade strawberry milk. Which was pretty good and not as sweet as strawberry milk made from syrup, but it took energy.
"If you keep sulking like that I'm going to hand you a bag and tell you to play astronaut." Doyoung threatened.
"Do I reach space when everything turns black?"
"Yep."
"I'll go get a bag then." Jeno stood up from Mrs. Suh's bed, but Doyoung pushed him right back down.
"You're not going anywhere until I get my hair right."
"I'm not even doing anything to help."
The glare Jeno got made him sit back down on the edge of the bed and take another sip of his milk.
The six kids that were going to prom were getting ready and had been getting ready for the past hour. It wasn't a constant effort to get ready that whole hour since they got distracted and there was only one bathroom, but it was still taking awhile.
Doyoung had on black dress pants and a dark blue button up. His Dad had wanted him to wear a suit, and he was going to, but it smelled like smoke and he didn't want to show up to prom like that.
His hair was just not cooperating for some reason, and if it wasn't going to ruin the vibe of his outfit, he would've put on a hat.
"One button or two?"
Doyoung turned around to face Jeno, deciding to quit with his hair and move to his shirt.
"One. We're trying to be family friendly here." Jeno teased, jokingly covering his eyes.
Doyoung rolled his eyes, turning back to the mirror and glaring down the one piece of hair that just would not stay down.
"I'm going to cut it."
"Don't. It'll look weird later."
Doyoung sighed and plopped down next to Jeno on the bed, taking a sip from the strawberry milk when it was offered to him. Jeno reached up and smoothed down the piece of hair, smiling when it stayed down.
"Fixed it."
"I would kill you if that wasn't the most helpful thing you've ever done."
Jeno just smiled even bigger.
"Ayo Bunny! Are you done in there yet?! You take longer than my grandma to get ready on a Sunday for church!" Ten shouted, knowing very well his grandma was dead.
Doyoung sighed and stood up, leaving the Suh's room with Jeno trailing behind him. Jaehyun, WinWin, Kun, Ten and Jungwoo were already down there, standing against the wall waiting for Doyoung because Mrs. Suh had her camera out.
"It's about time, slow poke. Now go stand with everyone else." Mrs. Suh instructed, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
The boys arranged themselves and actually took a nice picture the first time (that was new), but of course they had a silly picture that had the other seventeen photobombing it. This one was most certainly going on the fridge.
"My boys look so nice. Honey, have you seen how handsome they are?" Mrs. Suh asked, turning to her husband as if he hadn't been there the whole time.
Mr. Suh had been on the other side of the room trying not to cry in front of everyone because oh dang they're grown up now and he swears he only blinked since Johnny was born oh dang. But his wife just had to expose him like that.
"They do look really nice."
"Great, you made him cry." Xiaojun muttered, hugging Mr. Suh.
"Can we do a fashion evaluation before they go?" Mark asked, his bright eyes looking up at Johnny.
"I mean, we kind of have to." Johnny smiled, looking over the six of them to see who would be going first.
"Do WinWin first." Hendery suggested, Kun pushing the said man to the center of the room.
WinWin's first thought for the prom was Cinderella. That was it. His only thought. When his parents asked and that's how he responded, they took it as Cinderella's prince. Not quite the vibe he was going for, and he thought wearing a dress would look amazing on him, but his prince vibe was still amazing.
A full white suit with a gold button up and gold accents along the cuffs. Complete with a red sash, of course. Was it a little extra? Yes, yes it was.
"So first, we can see the point is this red sash. Very red and eye catching. Then you move on to the gold. Did Ten do this?" WinWin nodded. "It looks good, very intricate. Very nice with the crisp white suit. 10/10."
The kids gasped. A ten out of ten? Really? Dang.
"Who's next?" Johnny turned to his audience.
"Jungwoo!" Shotaro shouted, having finally been released from his parents just in time to join in on the prom festivities.
"Yeah Jwoos!" Lucas cheered as Kun pushed Jungwoo towards the middle of the room.
Jungwoo had tan pants, a white undershirt, and a peachy almost suit jacket but not quite on top. Simple, but it looked nice with his hair fluffed up.
"Alright, we can see the point is to be casual, but not too casual. Classy but not too classy. A nice mix. There isn't much of a point, but the peach jacket draws in your attention. And the fluffy hair brings it all together. Very nice, 10/10."
Johnny's audience once again gasped. That was two ten out of tens. Not that they didn't deserve it. But dang.
"I think Kun should go next because he's pushing us." Jungwoo suggested, very cheekily then pushing Kun to the center.
Kun had a suit jacket that had actually been his grandfather's on, one his granny had pulled out last minute. I was solid back with red printed feathers seemingly falling down one side of it. Other than that he had black pants and a black button up.
"The point here is obviously the red feathers, maybe they're embroidered, maybe they're printed, I can't tell. I'd have to touch it. Very unique, though. The belt is a nice touch, very shiny. 10/10."
"Boo!" Chenle commented, jokingly of course. He wouldn't be doing his job as he cousin if he wasn't.
Kun almost instantly was putting Chenle in a choke hold, but everyone ignored them because Jaehyun was now being fashion evaluated.
Jaehyun, being the classy man he is, was in a black suit with a white button up and bow tie. His hair was styled on point, which WinWin claimed was not that simple.
"What we have here is a suit. Obviously, but the bow tie is done perfectly- oh. It's a clip. Alright so the store did it perfectly. But the hair is nice, very sophisticated." Jaehyun winked, which Johnny returned. "10/10."
Doyoung was next to go, still upset that Jeno had fixed his hair faster than he had after all that effort.
"Classy, simple. The dark blue is a nice touch. Extremely simple outfit actually, but it looks stunning. 10/10."
Ten didn't need any prompting to come out to the center, even giving them all a twirl. His black suit had been embroidered with white patches and designs, all done on his own with the help of the internet. The suit had one singular middle button done, just enough so you could see the sheer black crop top underneath.
"The point is either on the crop top or the white designs. Not sure, but both look amazing. The patches and embroidery are very well done, almost like it was store bought. Dang, this whole outfit looks amazing. 10/10."
But there was one thing Johnny had failed to notice in all of the evaluations. Or maybe he did notice, he just didn't mention it. Who knows.
All six of them still had their bracelets on even though it was prom and gosh darn do colorful beads clash with what they were wearing.
