Your POV

After my meeting with Aizawa, I made my plan for going home. I didn't want mom and dad knowing I would be coming home because a) they would get all mad about the media (which I could not deal with right now) and b) I need to sneak into dad's office and that's not going to happen if they think I am home.

I left my dorm and took a walk to my house. I took the long way through the woods just to be 100 percent sure that I wasn't going to be spotted by my parents and people in their agency. I watched for the different marks of scratched trees I had left in my first year when I had found this route home. I had taken this path home multiple times since then, usually for when I needed something from home or when I really wanted food from this one bakery in town. It's been a while since I had used this path since I hadn't needed (or wanted) to go home. There has been this new smell of burnt trees and I've noticed that there were a lot of burned trees but I haven't heard about any forest fires anywhere near us recently.

Brushing it off I continue walking through the deep wooded thicket. Eventually making it to the same alleyway I had been to multiple times. The sun was beginning to set, which makes my life easier. I pulled my hoodie over my head to cover my face and waited for the sun to set. I sat there pulling out some of the files Aizawa gave me. Looking through them, I realized he didn't have much on the traitor himself but he did have a lot on the League, more than dad had. I read about all the different members, their supposed strengths and weaknesses but all of it is speculation, none of it is confirmed.

I put the papers back in my bag and then pulled out a notebook and began writing obvious things down: The traitor is someone who is high up on the charts, someone who has authority, someone who seems to waver on their beliefs as a hero/ hero community. he/ she is someone who is doing this for another reason other than just working for the villains.

That doesn't give me a lot of people to cross out. But maybe I can find something in one of dad's files. I looked up, the sky turning from a beautiful scarlet red to different shades of dark blue. I packed my bag and began walking out of the alleyway when I heard voices coming closer to me. shit, everyone in this town knows who I am I need to hide

I looked around for a hiding place and found a small place behind a dumpster. Running over to it I hid behind it, thankful for my dark hoodie to help me blend in with the dark. I close my mouth and breathe slowly from my nose, trying to reduce the sound. Slowly footsteps got closer and closer, and the voice got closer and closer. It was a man, whistling. I pressed my back to the wall of the building while my legs were against the dumpster. I closed my eyes shut and held my breath, praying that whoever it was wouldn't see me. I heard the man, whoever it was walk by whistling a little tune.

And then my fucking phone started to ring. fuck.

The whistling and the footsteps stopped. I could hear whoever it was turned back around. could I pass off as a homeless girl? I desperately shuffled through my bag and shut the phone off not before someone moved the dumpster completely. I looked up through my hoodie to see a familiar face, "Hawks?"

The birdman looked at me with the same shocked expression that I had, "What are you doing here?" we both asked at the same time.

"You first," I said.

Hawks shrugged, "I was here on patrol, and some... other stuff," he said slowly and carefully, "why are you here? Behind a dumpster?"

I got up and dusted my black leggings, "I um," I paused trying to think of an answer, "I needed to come home to do this uh, this thing," I said lamely, "but everyone in this town knows who I am 'cause of my parents so I needed to wait and hide till it got dark to go home,"

"why do you need to hide to go home?" He asked his eyebrow arching.

I really didn't want to say this part, "I don't want them knowing I came home," I said quietly, "I just needed something from home, so I was going to sneak in, grab what I needed and then sneak out,"

He looked at me with amused eyes, "So you're sneaking into your own house huh?" I gave him a quick nod, "well how can I help?" he asked putting his hands on his hips.

"You want to help me? Isn't that... wrong? Aren't you supposed to be saying 'oh (y/n) why don't you just go home?'" I smirked.

Hawks chuckled, "Well I should if I was your mentor right now, but I am technically your friend so I'm going to help you out," I gave him a grateful smile.

"I could use the help," I said thoughtfully, "Ok here's the plan,"

After I explained the plan to Keigo, he flew me to my house and dropped me on the roof closest to my window that I always left open. Once he made sure I slipped through he went to the window near the study and I checked if anything had been changed in my bedroom, or if my mom went through anything. I was surprised when I found everything to be in its place.

Then I put my hands on the walls to feel for sudden movements in the vibrations. I found two downstairs which would-be mom and dad Perfect, this means I should be able to go through dad's desk without being interrupted.

I slowly crept through my room and opened the door. It creaked a little, but mom and dad continued to talk. Slowly creeping across the hallway I tried the door to dad's study locked damn it.

I pulled out my bobby pin holding my hair in a bun and picked the lock and poked around until I heard the satisfying click. I quietly opened the door, and then went inside. Closing and locking the door behind me, I walk deeper into the darkroom. I couldn't see much, besides what's being illuminated by the moonlight and the different figures I can remember from the last time I had snuck in here. I take out my phone and turn on the flashlight going toward the files drawer in his desk. Opening the cabinet I went through the files, organized in alphabetical order. I search through them there's an entire file on each member of the League, one on me, one on my sister, and one on almost every single pro-hero, including... Hawks.

I wanted to take his file, but I know each file has really personal things on there, and it made me feel really guilty. I didn't want to invade his private stuff like that. So reluctantly I moved past it and saw the 'T' section. I went through the section and finally found, 'traitors'. Quickly I take out the file and look through the papers. Dad, while he is an amazing spy/hero is super forgetful and I can take that to my advantage and hoped that he would forget he had the dusty file in the first place. Kneeling against the desk I slipped off my backpack and stuffed the file in with the other files and notebooks I had.

Then there was a change. Sudden movements of vibrations around me. Damn it someone's coming upstairs.

I quickly and quietly shut the drawer when I hear a key jiggle in the door. My heart starts to beat out of my chest and I cursed under my breath. I make some semi-strong forces against the door with one hand while opening the window in the study with the other. There I see the crimson winged bird waiting for me. Grabbing my phone and my backpack I stop the force against the door, and then just as the door opened I jumped out of the window into the hands of the bird, and together, we flew away into the night sky.

Happy Halloween Everyone (but I think it's a bit late for that). Sorry for the shorter chapter, but I kind of had writer's block all day today and I finally figured the story out. I will try to update tomorrow but like I said, with school and stuff it might be a bit difficult

Also thank you guys so much for 200+ reads!!
