So I was on TikTok and I saw this chrome extension called "interactivefics" where you basically can put your name in as (y/n) and it will read it that way. Just a little FYI ;)
(I've been using it and it makes reading so much more fun so I definitely recommend!)
Warning: This chapter deals with mature themes such as mental and emotional abuse, as well as suicidal thoughts and other themes as such. I advise you to proceed with caution. I will leave a ~ to signify the beginning of these mature themes.
Other than that enjoy the chapter!
I woke up sometime later under a really soft blanket. My god it felt so soft almost like- FEATHERS! I sat straight up in the bed to see that I wasn't in my room. Instead, I was in a nicely furnished room. It was clean with three windows that ran up and down. To my left, I hear a laugh and turn my head to see Keigo was on the bed next to me. His head was propped up on his hand, running through the golden locks of his hair and his wings covering my upper body while a small blanket covered the rest. He laughed softly, before getting up, and then I noticed that he was shirtless. I blushed but turned my head as he got up and went to put on a shirt.
"Uhh," was all I could say before I cleared my throat, "Um what happened?" I asked running a hand through my (h/t) hair.
Keigo turned around his beautiful golden eyes meeting mine, "Oh, well your sister came, and then when I hugged you, and you uh fell asleep," small tint of pink covered his cheeks as he put his shirt on his head.
"Oh shit, sorry about that," I apologized, "I pulled an all-nighter last night, I figured I would take a nap before patrol or maybe during lunch," I explained hoping the fact that I fell asleep in his arms would be accepted, "but, you should've woke me up, not bring me to your place, Keigo," I semi-scold him as I got out of the very comfortable bed, straightening my t-shirt and smoothing down my hair.
"No way, baby bird," he said as he walked towards me, "what kind of person would I be if I woke you up and made you work after what... happened," he chose his words carefully as if I was a broken bird.
"Keigo, please-" he smiled, "What?" I ask. He got closer, he was right in front of me, "I really like it when you say my name," he smiled sheepishly.
"but as I was saying, are you ok (y/n)? Your sister was kind of, intense," he finished, putting a hand on my cheek. I winced when he touched the bruised part, "sorry," he whispered.
"Keigo, please don't worry about that, she must have been having an off day, it's no big deal," I try to reassure him. He doesn't need to be a part of my really crappy emotional life.
"Kid, you were wearing my feather," he gestured to the necklace, "I heard everything," He almost whispered.
This dude was kidding, right? He actually eavesdropped on my conversation. Wait how many conversations has he eavesdropped on?
"You listened to my private conversation with my sister?" I kept my cool, but I could tell my voice was going to start getting loud soon.
"Um, I didn't mean too but when I heard the slap it took everything in me not to get her out of there, but that was family business and-" I cut him off, "You're right Hawks, that is family business, it doesn't involve you," I see my shoes on the side of the bed and grab them to put them on, " Look I really appreciate you doing this for me, but I don't really need or want an emotional buddy, nor do you need to or have the right to listen to my conversations ever. Isn't that what you said when you gave me the feather? 'I promise not to eavesdrop on your convos' " I repeat what he had written on the note he gave me.
