"Yes, Mr. Aizawa I'm sure, someone was definitely in here," I say into the phone, trying to keep my voice steady.
Aizawa sighs, "Y/N are you sure that you aren't over reacting? There is nothing on the camera's, and I looked through the footage myself,"
I laugh, "Mr. Aizawa, you sleep constantly, the fact that you looked through the footage is what scares me,"
I hear a scoff, "Y/N, you better not be playing games with me," Aizawa threatens.
"I'm serious," I say the serious voice coming back, "there was someone here. Please, just believe my judgment on this,"
A pause. A very long pause. A pause so long I check the phone to see if Aizawa was still there, "You there?"
"Yes, Y/N I'm here," Aizawa says irritated, "I'm thinking," I stayed silent unsure of what else I should do. I started pacing back and forth in the hallway, counting the number of steps from one end of the hall to the other. It doesn't help the growing anxiety. From the side of my vision the walls feel like their inching slowly inward, but then when I turn my head, it's as if they're perfectly normal.
"I hate this," I say, without thinking.
I hear a deep breath on the other line and Aizawa's deep voice, "What do you hate Y/N?"
"I hate this, I hate all of this. I shouldn't be in this situation," I grab for the wall to hold me steady because I'm allowing myself to feel all of this now and I need the stability, "I am eighteen years old. Most other kids are getting ready for college, or like my friends, are getting ready to take their license exam, or spending time with their boyfriends before their inevitable pre-college breakup," I say into the phone, "most people aren't hiding from the backstabbing number two hero who pretended to act like their boyfriend! MOST PEOPLE AREN'T WORRIED ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY MIGHT NOT MAKE IT TO THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THEY MIGHT BE DEAD!" I scream into the phone.
I take in deep and heavy breaths to calm down, just like I usually do, this time also mortified at the fact that I just broke down in front of Aizawa, "Ah, crap sorry Mr. Aizawa," I sigh, my back against the wall, I stare at the ceiling, "I didn't mean to lose my cool like that,"
"Now would be the time to lose your 'cool', Y/N, if you lose your 'cool' later when you need it the most,"
I dismiss what he says with a grunt, because he's not wrong. I need to let myself feel now, instead of later, "What's the plan?"
"For now just be aware of your surroundings, keep doing what you're doing, because if you are being watched, then they're going to know you're onto them. I know it sounds... not great, but the commissions wants to take this opportunity and let them think they've found you so that when they do come for you it will be an easy capture for us," Aizawa explained.
I pause, "So I'm bait?"
"In a word, yes. You will be bait, "
I stood there, stunned in silence, "Are they really putting a student in that much danger?"
He sighs, "From their perspective Y/N, they think that if you are going to be a hero within a few months then you need to be able to take care of things like that,"
"And from your perspective?"
"I think it's a terrible idea,"
------------
A few hours later I'm standing in the living room, like I normally would, not that any of this is normal, and punching the punching bag in front of me. It barely moved with my punches, but that is not what I was thinking. Every ounce of my focus was picturing the bag as a 5'7 man with blonde hair, redwings, and goes by the name "Hawks". I continue punching the bag, even as my hands begin to burn and my hair is wet with sweat.
If Hawks is the one who came by yesterday, then he's completely lost it. The entirety of the top hero community is looking for this man, and now he's going to risk coming here? I doubt it. It could have been dabi, but I don't know if one month is enough for him to recover. It might take him longer due to his burns, at least that's what the doctors said when I told them where I stabbed him, plus the amount of blood he lost based on the creepy note he left behind and the blood spatters leading towards it, were enough for doctors to think he almost died.
Either way, there is no way he would be able to do that. To climb a ladder, open a window, and do, whatever the person did, and then leave in a matter of seconds. Unless the person can materialize anywhere there is no way.
But then again the guy could have super speed, or feathers that could do anything he wants... but that is none of my concern for the time being, according to the commissions. Right now, I play bait, and hope that the commissions can do their job. Although, that most likely won't happen and I'll probably get kidnapped by the league.
Only time will tell.

Finally a new chapter! It's probably going to be weekly updates from here on. I've got a lot going on, but I appreciate all the comments and votes!!!
