Your POV
I told him I was meeting with Miranda for lunch, and I lied. I was also pretty sure he knew I was lying, which was, yes, my intention. Maybe to see if he would call me out? How would he react to me lying to his face? But he went along with it, but I'm sure he knows about the lie.
The real reason I cancelled our meeting was because Aizawa wanted to see me about the mission. I told him that I was looking into Hawks, and that I have some news and that I wanted to meet him at UA at around lunch. He agreed, and so I went to meet him.
"Come in, Y/n," he said- or rather I think he would have said that if he was awake. He snored in his yellow sleeping bag, and I made a mental note to get him another one, considering that yellow seemed too happy of a color for him. Or maybe, it was the only thing that made him happy.
I closed the door, and his eyes opened and immediately found their gaze on me, "You could have knocked," he grumbled.
"You were sleeping,"
"Point taken,"
I sit down at one of the desks as he stands, "I heard him talking to someone on the phone," I said, immediately getting down to business.
"What was he saying?" He walked to the side of the classroom to turn on his coffee machine, "you want a cup?"
"Yeah, thank you," I nod. He pushes a few buttons and the machine starts to whir creating a mild buzzing sound. Minutes later, my teacher hands a mug of coffee and I take a sip, "god, Mr. Aizawa, it's so bitter," I smile getting up for some creamer, "like your heart,"
"I'll take that as a compliment,"
Adding vanilla creamer to my coffee I begin explaining what I heard, "He was in the bathroom, whispering something to someone," I turn around, "something about how he would get 'it' done and how 'you didn't need to get involved'" I take a sip of my sweeter coffee, "he then said something along the lines of, 'alright, I'll meet you tomorrow,'" I repeat what I heard.
Aizawa stands there, sipping his coffee, lost in thought.
"So he's meeting someone tonight?"
I nod, "Yeah, and he confirmed it when he told his assistant to cancel some meeting he had tonight," I fibbed.
"So what do you plan on doing?" He asked.
"Well," I take a second to ponder on the thought, "I would follow him, see who he meets, and then once we know who he is meeting, we can make a move," I meet Aizawa's eyes looking for some sort of validation.
"Okay, then that's what you will do," I down the rest of my coffee, almost spitting it out.
"You want me to continue?" I didn't expect he would let me.
He raises an eyebrow, "You don't want to?"
"No, no, of course I want to," I shrugged, trying to hide my excitement, "I just didn't realize you wanted me too,"
Aizawa smiled, which isn't normal, for him, "Remember, this assignment is under wraps and completely unofficial. The information you give me will help me make a case against the accused traitor,"
I raise an eyebrow, "So basically I'm doing all your dirty work,"
"Actually you're doing the schools dirty work, who had originally asked me to do the dirty work,"
I shake my head with a chuckle, "So basically you were too lazy to do the work on your own?"
"No, I figured it would be better if you got some experience in the undercover world,"
