"Kind of a late question, but why did you transfer here?" Tanong ni Mariana bago sumisip sa strawberry milkshake niya.

Ever since the day she introduced herself to me, para siyang kabute na bigla-bigla nalang sumusulpot kung nasaan ako. For some reason, I didn't mind. Maliban sa boring dahil wala akong kasama ay hindi naman siya annoying kasama. I can bear her presence hindi tulad ng iba na makita ko lang iyong mukha ay napipikon na ako.

I shrugged as a response to her question.

She arched an eyebrow. "Family shit, huh?"

I smirked.

Isa pa sa mga gusto ko sa kanya ay mabilis niyang maintindihan iyong body language ko. Kahit na hindi ako mag-salita ay parang alam niya na iyong gusto kong sabihin. It saves me from speaking.

She nodded in understanding. "I get it. It's common for parents to have their children transfer here since this is a prestigious school. It's no secret that they want to perpetuate wealth and power."

"Did you also transfer here?" I inquired.

"Yeah but I transferred during middle school," she casually answered.

"Hermosa!" A familiar voice called from behind me. 

Napatingin si Mariana sa likod ko tapos umarko iyong kilay niya. I heard footsteps coming from behind me but I didn't bother turning around because I already had an idea who it was. Sa pag-tawag niya palang na Hermosa kay Mariana ay halata na kung sino iyon.

Hermosa means gorgeous. Sometimes they use it as endearments for their loved ones.

"I missed you, Hermosa," the same voice said. Nag-lakad ito hanggang sa makarating ito sa tabi ni Mariana. He then placed a kiss on her cheek. "Why aren't you with Itzel and the oth―" bigla itong napalingon sa direksyon ko at natigilan. Unti-unting nagsalubong ang kanyang kilay. "You!"

I retrieved my own milkshake and took a sip; all while maintaining eye contact with Luis. 

I was acting unbothered samantalang siya naman ay parang gusto akong sakmalin. 

"Hermosa, why are you with this bitch?" Naiiritang tanong ni Luis kay Mariana.

Mariana's eyebrows furrowed. "Don't call Blair a bitch."

"So the bitch has a name, huh." Wika ni Luis. "What are you doing with my girlfriend?" He snapped at me.

I didn't answer him. Patuloy lang ako sa pag-inom ng milkshake ko habang nakatingin sa kanya.

Luis gritted his teeth.

This is entertaining.

Biglang inagaw ni Luis iyong milkshake ko.

Now that is not entertaining.

Ngumisi si Luis pero may halo iyong pagkainis. "How would you like it if I threw this at you?"

"I wouldn't," I casually answered before crossing my legs. "Who would want a milkshake thrown at them?" I added innocently. I know I was provoking him but I didn't care. It was fun fucking with people like Luis, iyong mga masyadong mataas ang tingin sa sarili.

"Luis, can you stop it?" Nakasimangot na wika ni Mariana.

"Why are you siding with her?" Kunot-noong tanong ni Luis. Mukhang mas lalo lang siyang nainis dahil humigpit iyong hawak niya sa milkshake ko.
