A week had passed since Mariana's confrontation. I attempted talking to her several times but she was just too stubborn. She wouldn't talk to me. Kahit lumuhod pa ata ako sa harapan niya ay hindi niya parin ako kakausapin―not that I would do that.

It didn't also escape me how Luis tried talking to Mariana. Tulad ng inaasahan, hindi rin siya pinapansin ni Mariana. Minsan nga ay lalapit palang si Luis, tatayo na si Mariana at mag-lalakad palayo.

I would normally let these things pass by but, for the love of me, I just can't with this one. Why? Because this is just too frustrating! Sobrang na-offend ako na ang tingin ni Mariana ay inagaw ko ang boyfriend niya. 

I am not like that.

Ang dami-daming lalaki sa buong mundo, bakit ko aagawin ang taong taken na? And to think na si Luis pa iyon?

That's fucking absurd.

Nang makita ko si Luis na nag-lalakad mag-isa, hindi na ako nag-alangan pa na lumapit.

"Luis," I called. Just even saying his name disgusts me.

He frowned upon seeing me. "What?"

"Why hasn't Mariana gotten the memo that we didn't cheat on her? Haven't you explained anything to her yet?" 

He gave me an annoyed look. "I tried, okay? I already tried talking to her several times. She just wouldn't listen."

I sighed in annoyance before glaring at him, getting impatient. "Then text her!"

He returned my glare. "She blocked my number!"

"Text her using your friends' number!"

"She also blocked their numbers!" he gritted his teeth. "Why don't you text her then?"

Napaiwas ako ng tingin at ibinaling ang atensyon sa sariling kuko.

"Well?" he asked, becoming impatient at my lack of reply.

Napabuntong hininga ako. "She blocked my number too," I forced the words out of my mouth.

"Great," he replied, sarcasm lacing his voice.

I dropped my hand and returned my attention to him. Napairap nalang ako.

"Didn't you tell your friends what really happened?" I asked instead.

"Why would I?"

Anak ng.

"You mean they still don't know the truth? They really think that we are secretly dating?"

His eyebrows furrowed. "So? It's not them I am dating but Mariana. I don't think there's a need for me to explain anything to them."

May itatanga pa pala ang lalaking 'to.

"So?" I sarcastically reiterated. "I don't know, maybe to avoid more misunderstandings?! At least if they know the truth, they can help you tell Mariana about it."

He scoffed. "Don't fucking tell me what to do."

Tangina pala neto eh. Inuuna ang pride bago ang utak. 

"Go mind your own problem," arogante niyang pahayag. "I'll settle mine over the weekend. I'll make sure to talk to her."

Umirap ako. "Whatever."

It's the weekend and I want nothing else to do but to rest, pero ayaw talaga akong pag-bigyan!
