Chapter 18: A Normal Day

-THE NEXT MORNING-

Adam is fast asleep on Connie's lap. Connie looks at Adam's sleepy face. He looks so calm when he's sleeping..Like he's at peace or something. 

It's so cute. Connie slowly strokes Adam's hair. Oh wow so soft! I feel kinda bad for what we did last night, scaring the hell outta him like that. 

But damn it was worth every second of it. After we scared Adam half to death, we ended up staying over at his place, figured we should stay in case he ends up dead again haha! 

Brittany walks over to the couch where Connie is sitting. "Still asleep huh?" Brittany asked in sign. 

Connie nods, "He's been like this ever since we left him to eat, I didn't expect him to be this tired." Connie said in sign. 

"He looks so calm." Brittany said in sign. "That's what I said!" Connie said in sign, laughing. 

"Should we wake him up? It's almost time for school." Brittany said in sign. "Don't worry, I'll wake him up." Connie said in sign, giving her a thumbs up. 

Brittany smiles and walks away to grab her school bag. Connie turns around and slowly shakes Adam. 

"Adam..you gotta wake up." Connie said in sign. Adam is still fast asleep. Hmm..when in doubt you tickle. Connie smirked and started tickling Adam. 

"Heh..heheh.." Adam said. It's working! Gotta keep going. She continues to tickle Adam, "Hahahahaha! Stop iiit!" Adam starts waving his arms around and ends up falling off the couch. 

"Ow!..Damn.." Adam said. "Morning Adam!" Connie said in sign, laughing. "What..what happend, why am I on the floor?" Adam asked in sign. 

"I don't know, you must've had a weird dream." Connie said in sign, smirking. "Did you do something to wake me up.." Adam asked in sign, glaring at Connie. 

 "Me? I would never! But get up, it's time to get to school." Connie said in sign, smiling. "But the floors comfy..somehow." Adam said. 

 "To bad bud! Gotta get up." Luke said, walking down the stairs. "Do I have toooo?" Adam asked. "Yes. Yes you do." Luke said. 

Adam gets up from the floor and sits at the dinner table. "Mom what's for breakfast?" Adam asked. 

"I'm making pancakes!" His mom said. "No please..something other than pancakes. I don't wanna eat those after last night." Adam said. 

"Heh..worth every penny getting you to scream like a little girl." Luke chuckled. "Fuck you, you nearly scared me half to death!" Adam said. 

Adam's mom walks up from behind Adam and karate chops his head. "OW! What was that for?!" Adam said. 

"No cussing in this house." His mom huffed, walking back to the kitchen. "Oww..why should I be getting hurt when you people got me knocking on death's door?!" Adam asked. 

"I mean..you did say you don't get scared. That's why we did it." Brittany laughed. Adam pouted, "You guys are mean." Adam said. 

"Yes but you love us to death." Luke said. "Damn you and your truth." Adam sighed. Luke laughs, "Alright, I'm gonna get ready for school. Be back in a sec." Adam said, as he gets up from his seat. 

He walks up the stairs and into his room. Damn..what a morning. Adam grabs a grey hoodie from his closet and puts it on. 

"Very comfy.." Adam said. "Bag bag..where's my bag.." Adam said looking around. He spots his bag behind the door. 

There you are. He grabs his bag and walks downstairs. "Alright I'm ready." Adam said. "Dude why are you wearing a hoodie?" Luke asked 

"I don't know, maybe because it's the end of fall which means 'Winter is coming..' " Adam said. "Did..did you just do Jon Snow?" Brittany asked. 

"I'm Jon snow." Adam said, in Jon snow's voice. "My god, let's get going." Luke said. "Do you have everything Connie?" Adam asked in sign. 

Connie nods, "Yup! You guys ready to go?" Connie asked everyone in sign. "Yeah." Brittany said in sign. Luke gives Connie a thumbs up. 

"Alright, let's go!" Connie said in sign, opening Adam's door. "Bye mom! See you in a couple hours." Adam said. 

"Bye sweetie! Have a good day!" His mom waved bye. Adam closed the door and the four of them were outside. 

"Man what a breeze.." Luke said. "It feels great." Brittany said. The sound of the wind is everywhere, it isn't that strong but everyone can feel a nice breeze hitting their faces. 

The group started walking to school. "So, did you guys feel up your candy?" Luke asked, in sign. "I filled mine up." Connie said in sign. 

"Same here!" Brittany said. "Same." Adam said. "You alright? You look really tired." Luke asked. "Oh I don't know Luke, maybe because you mean people decided to scare the hell outta me which only gave me like 3 or 4 hours of sleep." Adam said, with a blank face. 

He has bad bags under his eyes, even though he is fighting the urge to fall asleep on the ground. "Aw come on. That will go down in the history books. It was so worth it. Right guys?" Luke asked in sign. 

The girls nod in agreement and smile. "You guys are cruel...Is this what it's like to be sleep deprived??" Adam asked. 

"Yes. I mean you didn't pull an all nighter but somewhat..I guess." Luke said. "Come on guys, we gotta pick up the pace. Otherwise we'll be late!" Brittany said in sign. 

Luke and Connie nodded and started running towards the school. Adam is falling behind rather rather quickly. 

"Damn it..I'm too tired for this" Adam mumbled to himself, and started running. A few minutes flew by and the group made it to the school. 

"Whew! Nice, we made it." Luke said. "Wait where's Adam?" Brittany asked. The three looked towards where they ran from, and spotted Adam slowly running towards the school. 

"Damn, he is out of it." Luke said. "Do you think we took it a little bit too hard on him last night? He looks so tired." Brittany asked. 

"Hmmm..Maybe a little bit." Luke said. "Connie, you wanna watch him? Make sure he doesn't doze off in class? Even though he looks very tired, I refuse for him to fail." Brittany said in sign. 

"You got it!" Connie said in sign. After their talk, Adam manages to make it to the school. "Goddamn..I'm too tired for this shit.." Adam said. 

Luke laughs, "Don't worry, we got Connie looking after you for the day! That way you won't fall asleep." Luke said. 

"Seriously?! I mean thank you Connie, but I need my sleep! I'm dying over here!" Adam said in sign. 

"I'm not letting you fail over not sleeping, I mean you did choose to stay up after all." Connie said in sing. 

"YOU GUYS WERE THE ONES WHO MADE ME STAY UP WITH THE FAKE KILLINGS YOU PULLED!!" Adam said in sign. Everyone laughs and walks inside the school. 

"I'll see you guys at Lunch!" Brittany said, waving bye. The other three wave bye and walk to their class. 

Adam opens the classroom door and sits down at his seat.

-A FEW MINUTES LATER-

After couple of minutes, every student is sitting down and waiting for the teacher to speak. "Good morning class!" The teacher said. 

"Good morning." The students say. So in sync! "Today we have a new student joining us today. Come in, come in." The teacher gestures for the student to come in. 

As soon as the student walks in, Adam gasps. "THE FUCK?!" Adam said, looking at the student. The student looks at Adam and smiles. 

She has long brown semi black hair, Her eyes are a light green color. "Everyone. Meet Amber Walker, our newest student for this class!" The teacher said. 

The students wave at her, she sees them but doesn't really care. She locks eyes with Adam and just smiles. 

"Good to see you again Adam." Amber smiles sweetly.
