"Connie! Wait!" Adam said in sign. Connie laughs up ahead and slows down

"What?" Connie says in sign. Adam stops running and kneels down.

"Damn..your fast.." Adam said in sign, catching his breath. "Yup! Now what is it?" Connie asked in sign.

"Since we both want this turkey, why don't we just eat it at one place. My place." Adam said in sign.

"Really? But what about your Mom? Will she be okay with that?" Connie asked in sign.

"You're practically family. Plus I love having you over." Adam said in sign, smiling.

Connie looks away, her cheeks are bright red, "I like being there too.." Connie said in sign.

"So do you wanna have Thanksgiving at my place?" Adam asked in sign. Connie nods with a small but cute smile.

That smile kills my heart everytime.."Great! Now just lemme have that turkey.." Adam said in sign as he slowly reaches for it.

Connie hands him the turkey and smiles, "I was just messing with you. You know that right?" Connie said in sign.

"Wait what." Adam said in sign. "I wanted to see how fast you run. You're slow as heck." Connie said in sign, giggling.

"H-Hey! For your information I run plenty!" Adam said in sign. "Uh huh..Sure." Connie said in sign.

They both laugh and start walking towards Adam's house. "HEY WAIT!" Someone yelled.

"Huh?" Adam turned around to see who yelled. "Damn..what the hell is with you two?" Luke said gasping for air.

"Yeah..You two..are hella fast." Brittany said. "I don't know about that, Connie's the one here who's fast." Adam chuckled.

"So what was up with you two? Why were you chasing each other?" Brittany asked.

"Simple. Connie stole my turkey which I bought." Adam said in sign, glaring at Connie.

Connie giggles, "It was funny seeing him run slow." She said in sign. "I RUN PLENTY DAMN IT!" Adam said in sign.

Everyone laughs and Luke looks at Adam, "So where are you two off to?' He asked.

"My house, we're having Thanksgiving dinner there." Adam said. "Oh cool! Mind if we join?" Brittany asked.

"Uh why? Don't you two have parents at all?" Adam chuckled. "Yes, but they are outta town." Luke said.

"Same here. Said they had something they needed to do." Brittany said. "Oh okay..Well. I don't mind." Adam said.

"Hell yeah! Drumsticks are mine." LUke said. "Like hell they are pal!" Adam said.

They continued walking towards Adam's house.

-FEW MINUTES LATER-

"Mom! I'm back and I got a turkey..fucking finally.." Adam said.

"Oh Adam! Thank you so much for doing this! And hi you guys!" His mom waved at the others.

They waved back. "We were wondering if we could have dinner here. Would that be alright?" Luke asked.

"Oh of course! Just grab some more chairs in that closest." His mom points to a little storage closet in the corner of the house.

Luke walks over and grabs a few spare chairs and sets them up.

"Alright great! The table is set..Now I need to make the food." His mom said.

"Wait you haven't made the food yet?!" Adam said. "Of course not! How else would you learn to cook?" His mom said.

"Damn it mom..Fine." Adam said. "Yay! Cooking with my son!" His mom said.

"Hehe..You gotta cook!" Luke said. "Shut it before I steal all the drumsticks." Adam said.

"Yes sir!" Luke said, closing his mouth. "Such authority." Brittany laughed.

"Anything for those good drumsticks.." Adam drooled over the thought. "Less talking, more cooking!" His mom said.

Adam grabs an apron and starts cooking with his mom as his friends watch him.

"You're surprisingly good at cooking." Luke said. "Mom taught me at a young age how to cook, isn't that right mom?" Adam asked.

"Right, but I taught simple foods, not a Thanksgiving dinner." His mom laughed.

"Ha. Funny." Adam said as he continued cooking. Adam turns to see Connie telling Brittany and Luke something but he can't tell what.

"What are guys chatting up over there?" Adam asked. "Oh nothing! Just how cool it is to see you cooking!" Brittany said.

"Yeah! I didn't know you cook so well Adam." Connie said in sign.

"T-Thanks." Adam said. 5 to 10 minutes later they got the turkey all ready and they put it in the oven.

"Alright. Now we wait. We made all the other dishes which are already on the table." Adam said.

"TV TIME!" Luke said flopping on the couch. Everyone laughs and Luke turns on the TV.

-A FEW HOURS LATER-

-DING-

"Oh foods done!" Adam said. He gets up from the couch and opens the oven.

"My god..so good.." Adam smells the aroma coming from the turkey, it smells really good.

Adam puts on an oven mitt and grabs the pan that's holding the turkey and sets it down on the table.

"That looks so good.." Luke drools. "If you dare touch my drumsticks you're done for." Adam said.

"Y-Yes sir!" Luke said. Brittany laughs, "Aw come on. You gotta let him at least have one." She said.

Adam looks at Luke who now has puppy eyes. "Damn it Luke." Adam said.

"Yay! Drumstick!" Luke said. "By the way you guys." Adam's mom said.

"What's up?" Adam said. "I..may..or may not have..." She starts to say.

"What did you do..?" Adam asked, with his face in his hand. "Invited the neighborhood to join us for Thanksgiving." His mom said, preparing.

"WHAT?!" Adam said. "But why?!" Adam asked. "I wanted to have a huge dinner party with all our friends in the neighborhood. So I thought it would be fun!" His mom said.

Adam has a long sigh and looks at his mom, "Bring all the tables out front. We're gonna need a long ass table." Adam said.

"YAY!" Everyone said. They all started grabbing tables from Adam's garage and putting them outfront to make it into a large and long table for everyone to sit at.

-15 MINUTES LATER-

After a couple minutes passed they finished the long table. "Awesome!" Luke said.

"Good job guys!" Connie said in sign. "We all did great." Brittany said in sign.

While they were all chatting, Adam spotted 2 people walking towards them.

"Oh hello! Are you two here for the massive dinner?" Adam asked them.

There is a woman and her child. She looks like she's in her 30s, at least that's what I'm guessing.

The child looks like she's around 13 or 14. "Where's Connie?" The woman asked.

"Uh. She's right over there." Adam points towards Connie. "Connie, you forgot to text me, what happened?" The woman asked in sign.

"Oh..sorry Mom, I guess I was having too much fun with my friends." Connie in sign, laughing.

WAIT MOM?! SHE'S CONNIE'S MOM?!
