Chapter 19: Everyone Deserves A Second Chance...Right?

"Your seat will be in the back, I'm sorry but that's the only one that's open for now." The teacher said. 

"Oh that's okay. Thank you teacher!" Amber smiles. "So much manners..!" The teacher mumbled. 

Amber walks past Adam, keeping her sweet smile and her eyes on him. She takes a seat in the back. 

Adam and Amber are 3 or 4 seats separated from each other. WHY IS SHE HERE?! WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK?! 

Adam's mind starts flowing with questions, Does she have a plan? Why here all schools? Why is she here? Is she following me? 

He shakes his head to make the questions go away and refocuses on the teacher. "Alright class..today we're gonna be learning about.." As the teacher starts his lecture. 

Adam can't help but have a feeling that someone is staring at him, He turns around and sees Amber staring at him. 

Her head is leaning on her hand, she has a sweet smile and is just staring. Jesus..stalker much? Ignore her man..Just try and focus. 

Adam tries to ignore her but still has the feeling but ignores it either way.

-A FEW HOURS LATER-

I hate today..After I saw Amber be the new student my mood has dropped. Now she just follows me and tries to flirt with me, I ignore her. 

"Can you stop following me." Adam said. "But why? Don't you like me and you being together?" Amber asked. 

"Fuck no." Adam said. "Hmph. Oh well. Guess I'll have to try and get Connie's friendship. I mean I AM trying to be nice." Amber said. 

"Yeah well I don't believe for a minute. I think you're putting this whole "ms. nice" as an act." Adam said. 

"You think so? I don't think so." Amber said. "Whatever. Just know I'm onto you." Adam said. Amber laughed, "Yea okay big guy." Amber said. 

Adam spots Connie and the others and runs towards them, "Hey wait up!" Amber said. "Oh hey Adam!" Brittany said. 

"Guys, do not trust her." Adam said. Luke tilts his head in confusion. "Huh?" Luke said. Luke looks behind Adam and sees her. 

"Jesus Adam..your fast." Amber catches her breath. Luke leans towards Adam's ear and whispers, "What the fuck is she doing here." Luke asks. 

"I don't know! She's the new student and now she's been following me ever since." Adam said. Luke looks back up to Amber, "Heyyyy!" Luke said. "Heyyyy!" Amber said. 

"It's nice to see you all again, how have you been?" Amber asked. "We've been good! How about yourself?" Brittany asked. 

"I've been great! I'm glad to know that you guys are at this school!" Amber said. "It's nice to see you again." Connie said in sign. 

"Same to you! I never got your name." Amber said in sign. "You know sign language too?!" Adam said. 

"Yeah. I figured I might learn it in case if I ever run into this cutie." Amber said. "Don't call her that." Adam said. 

"It's nice to see you here!" Connie said in sign. "Same! I didn't know you were here!" Amber said in sign, smiling. 

"Hey Connie, May I talk to you and the others?" Adam asks in sign. "Oh sure! Hold on Amber." Connie said. 

Adam gestures the others to him, without Amber. "Guys what the fuck are you doing?" Adam asked in sign. 

"We're..being nice?" Luke said. "But to her? Seriously?!" Adam said. "Adam, she may have been a bitch in the past, but maybe she's changed. I mean I did, and look at us now." Brittany said.

"Do you guys not remember what happened a few days ago! She kissed me." Adam said in sign. "We do remember. Yeah it was wrong for her to do that. But everyone deserves a second chance." Connie said in sign. 

A second chance.."Are you kidding me." Adam said. "Come on Adam. Think about it. What has she done to do that is so bad?" Luke asked. 

"SHE DID EVERYTHING TO ME! SHE'S A FUCKING BITCH WHO MANIPULATES PEOPLE! HOW CAN YOU GUYS NOT SEE THAT?!" Adam yells. 

"You know I can hear you right, You're yelling." Amber said. "I know. Do you think I give a damn." Adam asked. 

"Look Adam. What happened in the past in the past. I'm sorry for what I've done to you..and I hope someday you can forgive me." Amber said. 

"You fucking kidding me? You think you can just walk in here, hoping for forgiveness?! Think again you asshole," Adam turns to his friends, "If you guys wanna be her friend. Then be my guest..I don't care anymore." Adam walks away from them. 

"Adam wait!" Connie said in sign. Connie was about to run after him, until Amber grabbed her hand. 

"Give him some time. He'll come around eventually." Amber said in sign. Connie looks at Adam who is walking away from them. 

"I'm worried about him though.." Connie said in sign. "Don't worry Connie..He just needs some time to himself." Luke said in sign. 

"No, he..he needs me right now. I'm not going to abandon him!" Connie said in sign. Connie yanks her hand away from Amber and runs after Adam. 

"Adam wait!" Connie said in sign. "Tch.." Amber mumbled. She looks at Luke and Brittany, "They'll be back." Amber smiles. 

They both nod, "Yeah, hopefully Adam can forget the past and move on..hopefully." Luke said. "Oh I'm sure he will!" Amber smiles. 

The three walk to a table and Luke grabs his lunch and starts eating, while the girls open up their bags and grabs their lunches.

-A FEW MINUTES LATER-

Connie is frantically searching for Adam. Damn it..Where is he? He can't have gone that far. Out of the corner of her eye, She spots Adam running into a little corner of the school.

There you are! Connie runs towards where she just saw Adam, She turns the corner and sees him. 

Adam looks up and sees Connie, "Oh..Hey Connie.." Adam said in sign. Connie forms a small smile on her face and sits down besides him. 

"You alright?" Connie asked in sign. Adam shakes his head, "Why does she have to be here? Everything was amazing..until she showed up." Adam said in sign. 

Connie grabs Adam's hand and holds it. "I don't know why she's here Adam, nor do I wanna know why. All I want is to not have drama between anyone. Especially you. I care about you so damn much and I don't wanna see you like this." Connie said in sign. 

"I know..I just..I don't wanna be near her. You don't know what she's done to me." Adam said in sign. 

"You're right. I don't but..maybe if you tell me. Maybe we can make all this work somehow." Connie said. 

"Make it work? Connie..if I told you what she did you would agree with me." Adam said in sign. "Maybe. But it can't be that bad." Connie said in sign. 

"She used me. She cheated on me so many times, and I kept coming back to her like a dog. From time to time, whenever she was in a mood, she'd hit me. Not multiple times. But one or two hard punches, this happened almost everyday..." Adam said in sign. 

"Oh Adam.." Connie said in sign. "Listen..you guys may like her and hangout with her, and that's fine. Just don't expect me to enjoy having her around." Adam said in sign. 

"And that's fine, you don't have to be around her, just be by my side!" Connie said in sign, smiling. 

Adam's cheeks turn bright red and slightly looks away, "Sounds good to me.." Adam said in sign. Connie gets up from the ground and pulls Adam up with her. 

"Come on, let's head back." Connie said in sign, holding Adam's hand. "Yeah..Alright." Adam said in sign, smiling back. 

The two walk back to their group, holding hands along the way.
