"Mammon?" You tried to look for him in the endless halls in the House of Lamentation. You hear one of the door creak so you went over to it to check if he's in there. "Uhm...?" Slowly you approached the slightly opened door, your shaking hands held the knob as you peek in the darkness. Your heart dropped when someone pulled you in. "Who-" you struggled, trying to get out of the person's grasp.

"Why did ya follow me?" Hearing Mammon's voice you turned around. With a sad expression he held you tightly. "I was worried about you. Look, I know you wouldn't do something like that. Why don't we go back and try explaining one more time?" He just stared at you as if not hearing a word you said. Slowly, he leaned in and nuzzled his head on your shoulder. You were startled at first but you pat his back hugged him tightly. 'He's like a child.'

"Why do they not believe me. I know I might have done things but y'know I wouldn't go far as that." He muttered. "...I know you're upset about them not believing you but give them some time to think things through. They're probably on the edge knowing something important got lost. Let's go back later alright?" You pulled back and held his shoulders, and tried to assure him that everything would be fine.

"We weren't able to hang out for the past few days, right?" You smiled at Mammon, hinting him. "Ah, I mean if it's alright with you." You rubbed your temple and smiled awkwardly. "I-it's not like I want to be with ya or anything. I'm just saying yes because I would feel bad if I turned you down. Be grateful that The Great Mammon's hanging out with ya." He looked away, holding his chin up high but even in the dark, you could feel his face turning red. "Why don't we go back to your room first?" You suggested.

You sat on the couch as soon as you enter the room. "So what do you wanna do? Wanna continue talking about the thing that happened earlier or wanna do something else?" You tried to not make it awkward as much as possible. "Nah, I don't want to talk about it." Mammon sat beside you as he sighed loudly. He put his hand over his mouth as he looked up the ceiling.

He the rest his other arm and put the other above his head, covering his eyes. "Y/N, thanks for defending me earlier." You stared at him. "H-hey, say something! I-it's embarrassing ya know!" He sat up, his face flustered. "You're welcome." You smiled at Mammon who was frozen in shock after you gave him a peck on the lips.

"That's... Y/N, you need to take responsibility for this." Even without his face turing red, you know he's all flustered. You wanted to tease him more but he suddenly pushed you down the couch. He avoided your gaze as if he wanted to say something but it's too embarrassing for him.

'Well, whatever.' Is what you said inside of your head. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer. Your face is now an inch away from him. You rubbed his lips with your fingertips

Before kissing him again. "Mammon, I believe you and I always will. Now tell me, do you like me?" You asked him. You knew what he would answer but you were too greedy and wanted to hear it from him. You closed your eyes as you feel the palm of his hand warm your cheek up. "...I like you Y/N." That was enough for you, seeing his face all flustered from embarrassment and probably from holding back. "Mammon, am I asking too much if I told you to hold me?" Your half opened eyes stared at his lusting gaze. Silence filled the room for a few seconds before he responded. "Not at all, it's alright to be greedy sometimes, isn't it?"
