Barbatos x Reader•Spilt Tea•Part I

"The brothers are very fond of you, Y/N." Diavolo sat across you as he drank his tea. "And I can say I am as well. I'm also glad that you're enjoying your stay here in Devildom. The brothers have surely changed after you came here. Don't you agree, Barbatos?" Diavolo gave a hearty laugh. "Yes, my lord." Barbatos smiled.

Barbatos is always elegant. The way he talk is formal. Even the way he pours tea looks fancy but today you noticed something off about him. He seems more shaky. "Barbatos, are you feeling unwell?" Diavolo also noticed this and brought ir up. "No, my lord. You ask?" He politely bowed his head. "Hmm, no nothing." Diavolo shook his head and smiled.

Looking down on your cup to take another sip, you find it empty. You look over at Barbatos and you caught him staring at you. Your gazes met but you brush it off. He just kept on staring at you until you became embarrassed and your face started to turn red. *ahem* You cleared your throat. Barbatos came back to his senses and walk over to you. "Would you like another cup?" You nodded. He does seem composed but you can see his hands shaking. "!!!"

"Ah, forgive me! Quickly! Is it hot?!" Barbatos immediately put the tea pot down and helped you stand up holding your hand and placing the other on your back. "No, it's fine. It's not that hot." You assured him. You could see the concern on his face after he accidentally pour the tea on you. "*sigh* Barbatos, why don't you escort Y/N to one of the rooms so she could change. Then you may take a rest for the rest of the day. You're quite not yourself." Diavolo ordered him.

"No, my lord. I'm completely fine. I'll escort Y/N then I will come back. Please, excuse us." He bowed before walking towards the door and opening it for you. You got out of the room with Barbatos. "This way..." He motioned his hand telling you to follow him. You walked behind him as you look over the different doors and paintings across the walls. Barbatos suddenly grabbed you by the elbow and pulled you beside him. "Please walk beside me. I feel anxious if you're not within my sight." You nodded silently as you tried to hide your now flustered face.

"We're here. Please sit on the couch while I prepare your change of clothes." You did as he said and waited for him. Barbatos walked over to you holding a pair of clothes you could change into. "These clothes are made for guests who happened to stay over here. I hope it's alright with you to wear these." Barbatos handed the clothes over to you. "It's alright... Uhm Barbatos, where should I change?" You asked him. Barbatos flinched and cleared his throat. "I'll leave the room. You can call me if there are any problems or when you are done." He bowed politely before leaving the room.
