Barbatos x Reader•Spilt Tea•Part II

After you change your clothes you look over the paintings and different antiques in the room. It felt old yet comforting. The room was cozy as expected of a guest room. You continued to examine the different things in the room losing track of time. "Y/N? Excuse me, I'll be coming in." Barbatos knocked before opening the door. "Ah forgive me. You were taking a long time in here, I thought something has happened." You panicked realizing what you just did. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't realize." Barbatos chuckled seeing you all flustered. "It's alright. Shall we head back now?" He said before offering his hand.

You put your hand in his and when he was about to walk away, you squeezed it tightly. You stood there, not letting him go. "Barbatos, is there any problem? I've noticed since earlier... You kept avoiding my gaze. Are you alright?" You straightforwardly asked him. Barbatos remained silent with his back turned on you. "If you like to say something, you could tell me, you kno-" You grab his shoulders and turned him around only to see his face burning red.

"Please stop." He muttered. You let go of his hand and shoulders before apologizing. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Barbatos sighed before finally meeting your gaze. His hand covered his mouth as he tried to hide his flustered face. "You... are making me nervous."

"Eh?! Well, I'm sorry!" You started to panic again. "Not... in that way. Wht I mean is..." He became more flustered while he continued to stumble on his words. That's when it hit you. You finally realize why he has been acting this way. "Barbatos, look at me." You took the hand covering his mouth and put your other hand on his shoulder. "You've got something to tell me, right?" You smiled at him.

Barbatos stared silently at you. Before you realize it, his face was already an inch away from you. His hand held your chin up. And slowly the gap between you closed. With your eyes half opened, your gazes met. He tilted his head brushing his lips against yours. The both of you finally closed your eyes before pressing your lips together. It was a short kiss but it felt like forever.

"Barbatos-" He covered your mouth. "Forgive me, I was trying to hold back." You giggled before removing his hand. You stole another kiss from him. He was taken a back for a moment but he then decided to kiss back. He looked like he was begging for more but you decided to save that for later. "Shouldn't we go back now? Lord Diavolo's probably looking for us." Barbatos came back to his senses and cleared his throat.

The both of you got out of the room silently. "Barbatos, next time I visit here... Let's have a chat, just the two of us." You can't help but smile as you walk. "Then I'll prepare a tea for us to enjoy." He replied.
