After a day of travel and a night spent with some tusken raiders we come upon a small town.
"It that it?" I questioned as I pointed ahead.
"Must be, watch your six." Din said as he reduced the speed on the speeder bike as we came across some womp rats. The town was no more than just a few small buildings scattered around each other. The people looked up at us with curious eyes, some of them were fearful.
"These people, they're afraid," I muttered.
"How you know?" Din asked turning his head to the side to hear me better.
"I can sense their fear."
"Maybe it's because of us."
I shook my head in disagreement, "No this level of fear has been here for a while, before we came."
Din made the bike come up to a slow stop in front of the largest building that was in the area. He got off before offering me a hand. I smiled lightly at the kind gesture before taking it and getting off. Once my feet hit the sand I turned towards the child and picked him up and followed Din inside the building. When we walked in we were met with a run down bar. A being that I had never seen before stood behind the half circle counter mixing up some sort of concoction. The child wiggled in my arms causing me to put him down so he could explore.
"Can I help you?" The presumably bartender asked.
"I'm looking for a Mandalorian."
"Well, we don't get many visitors in these parts." The bartender answered Din.
"Yeah, I don't doubt that," I muttered looking around the empty bar.
"Can you describe him?" The bartender continued ignoring my comment.
I clicked my tongue a couple of times as I shook my head causing both the bartender and Din to look at me. "We never said that it was a male. So you do know of who we are looking for."
"You mean the Marshal." The bartender spoke knowing that he was caught in a lie.
"Your Marshal wears Mandalorian armor?"
"See for yourself." The bartender said before turning his attention towards the opening to the outside. In the doorway stood a man wearing old Mandalorian armor. The green paint on the helmet was chipped and scratch beyond measures. The whole body armor looked like it was a second from falling apart but yet there it was staying together. Although the man was wearing Mandalorian armor he wasn't getting me the intimidation that true Mandalorians give off. He just was a man wearing a mask. He walked toward us in pride before speaking.
"What brings you here, strangers?"
"I've been searching for you for many parsecs." Din spoke not taking his gaze off of the man.
"Well, now you found me. Weequay, two shots of spotchnka." The man said causing Weequay to reach down before bringing up some blue liquid and two shot glasses.
"Why don't you join me for a drink?" The man spoke before walking towards the table closest to us. I almost did a double take at the words he just said, he was going to take off his helmet. He sat down facing us before taking off his helmet and setting it on the table. Din paused at the man's unrevealing knowing that this act was against the his creed and therefore that this guy wasn't a real Mandalorian. I turned back towards Weequay before putting up a finger telling him that I wanted a drink. I was going to need it for what was about to unfold. Weequay quickly got me something similar to what he had given the Marshal. I nodded my head in thanks before sitting down on one of the stools and turning back towards the scene that was going to start.
