"Gray si Sylvie nga pala, pinsan ko." Ate Denise told her friend. Nasa bahay kami nina Ate Den kasi may family reunion tapos Graduation party pa niya kaya may mga friends siya rito.
I'm only a 1st year college student so I'm really focusing on my studies ngayon. Wala akong planong mag-boyfriend. Mamamatay akong single and no one can change that.
That's what I thought...after that party my life changed.
Nasa canteen kami ng friends ko nang biglang may nag-friend request sa'kin. Gray Torrez sent you a friend request. Gray Torrez? Wala akong kilalang Torrez eh. So I just ignored it.
Days passed and nalaman ko kay Joy na may event daw sa school pero mabilis lang. Since I was bored sumama na lang ako wala kasing pinapagawa ang teachers eh. Ashley was already in the gym dahil maaga siyang nakadating.
"What's this about?" I asked my classmate pero he just shrugged.
"Nabalitaan ko si Gray Torrez daw ang nag-organize nito." A heard some whisppering from behind.
"Diba he graduated na? Bakit andito pa siya?"
Gray...baka 'yung nag pa-add sa'kin sa fb.
"Kasama daw si Denise Guzman."
Si Ate Den?!
The place became quiet all of a sudden. I looked in front of me and saw Ate Den smiling so wide and looking in the crowd, our eyes met then she smirked.
"Goodmorning students of Ilenois Laurel University. I'm sure nag-tataka kayo kung bakit andito ako sa harap niyo pero naka graduate na ako. Well... we all decided na this is the time for it, please welcome Gray Torrez."
Kuya Gray went to the center of the stage then smiled.
"Thank you for coming here today everyone. I'm just gonna take a few minutes of your school time to say this. I grew up not knowing my real parents...I was so traumatized of having a family of my own that I didn't like a girl to have a thing for me. Kasi sino ba ako para magustuhan nila. I was so afraid na baka one day masira din ang future family ko."
Nakita ko si Ate Den na tumakbo papalapit sa'kin at sinabi na sumama ako sa kaniya pero ayaw ko. Ash and Joy pushed me dahil daw si Ate Den naman 'yon at hindi kidnapper.
"Atleast...that's what I thought back then. Recently I graduated and am now applying for a job as a doctor. A few weeks ago may party si Denise na kasama ang family niya. Sa party na 'yon I saw her...I saw the girl that is capable of changing my perspective with love. Noong pinakilala siya ni Denise sa'kin I already flipped. How can a girl so beautiful be here and presented to me? Aaminin ko ilang gabi ko siyang naiisip at napapanaginipan."
Hinatak ako ni Ate sa may gilid ng stage sa may stairs. Ang daming nakikinig kay Gray na hindi na nila ako napansin.
"She really change me." Napatingin sa'kin si Gray at mas lalong ngumiti. "Everyone...I would like you all to meet Sylviera Panganiban."
Nag-palakpakan sila at nag-sigawan. After that I went to the cafeteria to drink some water and buy some snacks. Nag-aaral ako nang biglang may rose na sumulpot.
