Y/n's Pov...

Today was bring a parent to school day. Yay. Note the sarcasm.

Everybody had brought one of their parents. I didn't.

I was alone. Haneul, Chinmae, and Daejung were all on trips with their families.

Mrs. Kwon: Y/n, you're up.

Me: Skip me, Ms. Please.

Mrs. Kwon: This is worth eighty percent of your grade, Y/n.

Me: My parents can't be here either way. Just skip me, Ms.

Mrs. Kwon: So you won't participate?

Me: I can't.

Mrs. Kwon: Get out. I will be telling the front office to call one of your guardians.

I took my backpack and sat outside the classroom, kids snickering as I walked by them.

Mrs. Kwon told the front office and Changbin was the only one who answered.

Changbin: Changbin speaking.

Mr. Lin: Sir, your sister has been sent out of class for not participating.

Changbin: What did she do?

Mr. Lin: She didn't want to participate in the parent project today.

Changbin: We don't have parents. They're gone.

Mr. Lin: We sorr-

Changbin: Don't worry about it. I'll tell her teacher myself. I'm on my way.

Y/n's Pov...

Minutes later, I felt someone sit beside me. Changbin.

Changbin: What happened, baby?

Me: Mrs. Kwon told me it was my turn and I told her to skip me.

Changbin: Well, why don't we go back in there, hm? Let's show her what we're made of.

We went back inside, and Mrs. Kwon looked at us.

Changbin: I'm here to do the project with Y/n.

Mrs. Kwon: Are you one of her parents?

Changbin shook his head.

Changbin: I'm her brother.

Mrs. Kwon scoffed.

Mrs. Kwon: I asked for her par-

Changbin: Our parents are gone. They're gone. My brothers and I have raised this little one since she was five. Now we can either do the project, or I can tell your boss you're being so inconsiderate.

She though for a couple seconds.

Mrs. Kwon: Step right up, please.

And with that, we did the project, and I got an A.
