But Everybody Is Doing It!

Reason #30 I am writing this: I am sick of people telling us how to live our lives.

"But Everbody Is Doing It!":

So WHAT? Huh? Why should I care that everybody is doing this or saying that?! For all I care "everybody" can jump off a cliff and spare me the agony of having to be compared to them. (Sorry Everybody).

The way I will live, is not written down in a manual for me. There is no guides to what's write and what's wrong. You can not tutor me to be myself. So no, I can not and will not do something I don't feel comfortable doing simply because someone called "everybody" is all famous and doing it -_-.

For a start, what made everybody right? I am not saying I am the only one right in this world but rules and ideas shouldn't be so.. impersonal? The same rules that work best for someone can destroy another person's well being. And when they actually do, when your whole life is messed up and you're in the worst situation of your life, the same people who kept telling you "everybody does that, you should too" will be the first to criticise your actions.

I am just saying, screw everybody. Honestly. Just live like you want to. Yes, you'll still get in trouble, you'll still have enemies and you'll really hate your life sometimes but at least you'd have an identity and principles to stand up for. You'd be proud of who you are.

Don't dress like a whore because "everybody is doing that".

Don't starve yourself because "everybody is doing that.

Don't cheat. Don't stoop low. Don't sext. Don't even curse because simply "everybody is doing that".

Because you are not everybody. You're not some cheap loser who decided they are too weak to change for better. You're not just some dust on windows. You're a soul. You're a power. And the more you shred of your self-respect, the more give up your values, the more you destroy your power.

The next time you decide to do something, do it because you want to. Not because you want to be like everybody.

The thing I regret most in my admittingly short live is not being myself. I think this is the only worth-while advice even though it has become so under-estimated now. Because when people tell you to be who you really are, they make it sound so easy. They make it sound like everyone else is against you. Is an enemy. When sometimes it's the person you love most who need you to change. And when in most times you dont even KNOW what yourself is anymore. But let me tell you, whatever it is you feel uneasy about, is not you. You might be devastated you have to hurt someone because you cant be what they want. You might lose faith in you even. But in the end, later on, the only time you'll be proud of is when you're yourself.

Dont let people form you. No one loves you more than you.

I am always here if you need to talk.
Be safe.
