Your step daughter feels unloved because of him

Setting up the table for dinner, you chirpingly called out for your husband, son and step-daughter. After a long day at work, you were finally able to prepare something delicious for your sugar like sweet step-daughter who seemed quite off recently.

However, something odd happened today. Taehyung and Taemin, your son were already present for dinner but Zion was nowhere in sight.

"Tae, why didn't Zion coke down for dinner with you? Is she fine? Does she want to eat in her room? Is her stomach fine?", you asked as concerned filled you for your step-daughter.

Taehyung looked at you momentarily as he shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I was in Taemin's room for the past three hours. In fact, I didn't see Zion today at all."

You were perplexed and slightly disappointed at his behaviour. Sighing, you were about to go and check on Zion and call her down for dinner but Taehyung interrupted you. "Where are you going? Come on, have dinner with us."

"Let me call Zion too. She loves Japchae and Bulgogi. I doubt she'd want to eat in her room.", you said. Taehyung looked at you and scoffed, "If she wanted to eat with us, she would've come down for dinner when you called everyone. Nobody is her servant here to do stuff for her."

You looked at him with wide eyes, "We are her parents, Taehyung. How can you say that way?", you shook your head in disappointment and went upstairs to check on your sweet princess.

Taehyung's rude and unloving behavioie towards Zion was something which was concering you a lot. He had never been so rude, blunt, uncaring and unloving towards Zion ever.

He always showered her with utmost care and love after his first wife Sarang passed away. In an unfortunate turn of events, Sarang died while she was giving birth to Zion. Of course, it was hard on the poor child who came on this earth without a parent.

You met Taehyung when he used to drop off Zion at the day care where you worked. At first, you thought that Taehyung and his wife both must be working and that's why they have to drop off their daughter at a daycare.

However, your thoughts and channelled views came to a halt when you started getting closer to Taehyung. It was then when you discovered that had already abandoned this world and has descended to her after life while she was giving birth to Zion.

However, there was something which constantly erupted your motherly instincts towards Zion and soon, you developed a soft motherly soft for the motherless sweet butterfly like human being.

It wasn't long until Taehyung realised your and Zion's closeness as one day he himself took the first step of love towards you and asked you out for a date.

And the rest is history. You've been happily married to him for almost four years now and even had a son, Taemin. You were all pretty happily settled. Though being a second wife and a step-mom required extra care and affection towards your Zion but you were happy and proud to have a daughter like her.

"Zion, baby?", you called out as you opened the door of her room to see her small figure curled in a ball and laying on bed while silent sobs escaped her lips. "W-why did y-you leave me m-mama?", she cried, erupting another series of sensation of pain in your heart.

She was missing Sarang and it was fair and natural to do so. Just before you were about to enter the room, you heard something which broke your heart even more.

"If you would've been here, would I be so unloved, mom? Would appa start ignoring and being rude to me like he is now if you were there? Would he stop looking his Zion and love only Taemin? Would he r-remarry with y/n eomma? Would I feel so unloved and like an orphan despite having a family?"
