Craftus easily found the small chamber in which he had left his youngest daughter all those years ago. Her traitorous actions had been the beginning of his first downfall. She had all the knowledge of the world, and perhaps even knowledge useful to him, she had been first to break the rules away from his favour, and now she would set things right.
Neron and Epis followed him as he went down into a deep cave, Neron seemed more at ease in the dark environment. Epis however became a bit more jittery. Though he controlled it.
They reached a small flat section. The Ender Dragon stopped before it.
"This is the prison of Araia," he told them both. "A little traitor who will be of great use to us."
The Ender Dragon breathed upon the wall and the small section parted from the main wall. Immediately a flurry of silverfish emerged hissing. A few dared to nip at Neron and Epis who leapt into the air in alarm.
"What are these," Neron said.
"Nevermind them," Craftus told the two. Then to the silverfish he said, "be gone."
They backed off slightly, but still hoovered around them hissing angrily.
As Craftus entered the room he suddenly knew that something was wrong. How wrong he wasn't sure, be he was bound to find out.
There was a bed in the room for one. Sprawled out on it was the snowy white girl, her eyes closed. When she heard them she opened them and raised her head. A sad look crossed her face.
"Returned at last father?" She said slowly. "Unlikely though to free me, what crime is in my name now? Or are you here for my help, which I cannot offer."
The room was small for Craftus in dragon form, far to tight in fact for his liking. Reluctantly he changed into his human form. He was a tall man, jet black with glowing eyes. He ignore the surprise from Neron.
"Do not play your games with me Araia." He instructed her, "if you help me perhaps I will forgive you in a centuries time."
Araia shook her head, "I have nothing to offer."
Craftus tilted his head slightly, Araia was unspeakably weak, that was true, but he sensed a greater meaning.
It was dawning on him now.
"What have you done!" He burst out at once. "You are not the keeper of knowledge now!"
Araia said nothing.
Craftus was filled with anger, he came forward and grabbed onto her, pushing her against the wall. She flinched slightly but remained silent.
"Where is the keeper of knowledge, who are they?"
Araia smiled slightly at him.
"I will blast you into a million pieces and put you in the wall once again unless you tell me. Where is the keeper of knowledge."
Araia remained silent though, she knew she could not escape her fate. She would be victim to the rage and yet not betray Ianin.
Both Neron and Epis were horrified by Craftus's cruelty. But there was nothing they could do.
Epis wanted nothing more then to heal Araia, for he could sense her immense pain. It was against his very nature to stand by while she suffered. He wanted to be with Maiella and nothing else, he wanted nothing to do with the Ender Dragon.
Araia was fading quickly. She knew she would be as close to death as possible. There was one more irreparable damage she could do. For right before her stood a father mourning a son and the very son he missed.
Her last breath she spoke, "your son Epis..." But she could not finish. Craftus collapsed the room onto her, burying her and her books.
