In The Void

Elsbeth and Maiguh and his daughters wandered through the void for a short time before they came upon what they were looking for. The Mother Goddess was asleep floating in the void. Her hair hanging around in in waves. Maiguh walked to her and gently whispered to see if he could wake her.

"Mother, I have returned home, I need to speak to you."

She opened an eye and then the other.

"Is that you my youngest son?"

"It is I, Maiguh."

She smiled and stretched slightly, still seeming half asleep.

"What brings you home Maiguh?"

"The Ender Dragon is rising mother."

"Craftus?" She asked.

"Yes, Craftus is rising."

Minea felt a wash of awareness around her.

"We need your help." Maiguh pleaded.

She nodded. "Long ago Craftus was my husband, I had loved him," Minea told them, "when I first met him he was alike to nothing else in my world. I had wanted a break from everything and he was it. He could be sweet at times. So sweet in fact I could not help but adore him and wait for his visits to me. He grew darker over time, it started when my son was born."

"Why did you never tell us of this?" Maiguh asked her.

"When I made your brother's I made them like I remembered Craftus, strong and proud, but Maiguh I needed something different, when I made you, I knew you'd need me. I wanted to protect all of you, I thought I had rid us of him forever, I was wrong, forgive me."

"I forgive you mother." Maiguh said.

"Of course you would Maiguh, would your brothers or sisters? I'm not sure. You were my favourite son of course, and your life should have been very different."

"My life is what it has became, I am not unhappy." Maiguh told her.

"Yet something troubles you?" Minea said, eyes glittering.

Maiguh shook his head, "now is not the time for my troubles. I need you."

"I crippled my energy so badly I could not stand or breath, not unlike my poor little daughter Araia." She shook her head, "I lost Craftus when I lost Araia."

"Craftus is back and strong, I fear we will all be lost, I have come for your help mother. You chose me as the leader. You on your own defeated him once, again with all of us we could again." 

"Craftus is strong as he is clever, my trickery saved me the first time, but I was his weakness. He loved me far too much." She told them. "He never suspected me."

"My mother is your daughter and she is in danger too." Elsbeth told her, "please help us."

She cast her soft gaze on Elsbeth. "Such a lovely girl you have became Elsbeth. So well meaning and yet you seem so delicate, but under the surface I know you are strong as I was."

"You are still here Mother."

"Barely." She answered, "I could not fight as I once did."

"I need you," Maiguh told her.

She considered.

"Elsbeth and I have come to find you to bring you back to the overworld with us."

"The overworld," she smiled, "it's been a long time since the sun graced my face."

"We will bring you back." Maiguh told her.
