Chris, Scott, Isaac, and Derek have been out looking for Boyd and Cora.

"You're tracking them by print?" Chris asked.

Scott shrugged, "Trying to..."

"Well, then you've been wasting your time. There's only one creature on earth that can visually track footprints, and that's man. And, if you're not trained like me, you have no idea that this print is Boyd's and these-" he looked down and examined the second footprint.

Isaac confidently said, "Are Cora's."

"Nope-they're yours. You trampled Cora's as soon as you walked over here."

Scott pointed to the third set of footprints, "Then whose are these?"

Chris turned when he saw the footprint it had a symbol; a large 'DM' imprinted at the sole of it.

Chris was stunned when he saw the print, "It's not possible..."

Isaac, Scott, and Derek surrounded him. Chris quickly changed the subject, "Look, Wolves hunt for food-at a certain point, they get full. But Boyd and Cora are hunting for the pleasure of the kill-for some apex predatory satisfaction that comes from the ripping of warm bodies to bloody shreds. And who knows when that need gets satiated?" he reached into his bag and pulled out ultrasonic emitters.

"These are ultrasonic emitters-it's one of the tools we use to corral Werewolves, pushing them into a direction we want them to run. It gives off a high-pitched frequency that only they can hear."

Isaac pressed the button, sending a piercing noise through the air that only Derek, Isaac, and Scott could hear.

"God, no kidding!" Isaac groaned.

"These are gonna drive them to the school?" Derek questioned.

Chris nodded, "And then, it's up to you to get them into the basement."

"Does anyone else want to rethink the plan where we just, uh... kill them?" Isaac suggested.

"It's going to work. It'll work." Scott encouraged.

Derek, Isaac, and Scott runoff and plant the ultrasonic emitters. Derek stops by his house quickly and as soon as he entered Peter spoke dramatically, "The hunted becomes the hunter!"

After a few minutes, Peter asked, "You really think a few high-tech dog-whistles are gonna help?" referring to the ultrasonic emitters.

Derek irritable said, "I don't see you offering a hand..."

"Personally, I'm trying to cut down on futile endeavors," Peter smirked.

Derek leaned on his desk, and let out a sigh, "Cora's alive."

Peter said sarcastically, "I heard! Let's throw the reunion party when she's not an unstoppable killing machine."

"I can stop her."

"Sure you can! By killing her... Which happens to be the point of this little exercise. Deucalion wants you to kill them. He wants you to get rid of his baggage, making it easier for you to join his pack. The fact that it was supposed to happen in the vault, and not up here, out in the open, doesn't change his plan...It just means Boyd and Cora are gonna kill a few innocent people first." Peter explained.

Derek incredulously asked, "And I should just let them? I should be okay with innocent people dying?"

"Unless you're okay killing your own..."

Derek assured him, "I can catch them."

Peter scoffed, "Oh, come on! How much damage can they do? So they off a few homeless people, a drunk stumbling out of a bar too late... So what? Let Scott deal with it. Let him be the hero of his morally black-and-white world. The real survivors-you and I? We live in shades of gray. Then again, even if you did kill them, you're still an Alpha. You can always make more Werewolves. Or... You could be something much, much more." he smiled.

Derek looked up at him, "What are you talking about?"

"Mark Leia. You will be stronger and more fearful. I mean it's pretty obvious what's happening to her. She is having a hard time controlling her abilities, she needs an anchor. If you don't do it... I'm willing."

Derek grabbed Peter and threw him across the room, "Stay away from her! If I catch you anywhere near her I will kill you... Again."

Peter chuckled, "Fair enough. She's all yours, but what are you going to do when she finds out her father is alive?"

Derek's eyebrow raised, "What? Her-her father is dead, you killed him."

"Did I?" he smiled.
