~Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital~

Stiles was in the hospital room waiting to get his CT scan. He sent Melissa to fetch him a tape player. Melissa knocked on the door and entered, "You find me a tape player?" Stiles asked immediately.

Melissa shook her head, "No... but I found someone looking for you.

Malia entered the room and Stiles stood up in shock. Melissa smiled and exited the room, leaving the two alone.

"I heard you almost got killed..." Malia said.

Stiles nodded, "I heard you almost got killed."

Malia nodded back, "You okay?" she asked.

Stiles shrugged, "Brunski punched me in the face. Turns out, he was a serial killer."

"Makes sense." she nodded.

"Yeah... what about you?"

"We almost got set on fire."

"Everyone okay?" Stiles asked stepping forward.

Malias eyes wandered as she remembered what she saw happen to Leia that night. "...Basically."

"You okay?" Stiles asked.

"I'm fine... I'm gonna go..." Malia said.

"You don't have to," Stiles said.

"I should go..." she insisted, but when she went to leave the door was locked. "It's locked." she turned, looking at him.

Stiles furrowed his eyebrows, "Why would she lock it?" he walked over and tried to turn the knob but it wouldn't budge. "Uh... hey, Melissa? Melissa? Melissa!"

"I could break it?" She said reaching for the knob.

Stiles grabbed her forearm, "How about you not. I already owe this hospital enough money..."

"Why would she lock the door?" Malia asked confused.

"Maybe she didn't mean to... Maybe she wasn't thinking it through." Stiles defended Melissa.

"You don't accidentally lock a door..."

"You know sometimes people do things without thinking them through..."

"Then she's stupid." She said rudely.

Stiles sighed, "No. Even smart people can do stupid things! You know 'cause they think it's the right thing... And I don't think we should hold it against her, you know, for the rest of her life! Especially because she tried to apologize hundreds of times through text and voicemails..." Stiles ranted.
