When I reached home, I stumbled inside, everyone came running towards me. I knew they could smell the blood; the blood was filling my left boot. Sam helped me to the couch, mom ran to the kitchen fetching a bowl of water and a soft washcloth. Aunt Greta grabbed the first aid kit, uncle Mark started to walk back and forth in frustration as he began to get angry at what happened.

Mother cleaned up the blood and squeezed out all the venom, which was severely painful. Sam had to cover my mouth as I almost let out a howl of pain, which could have called other werewolves. Aunt Greta stitched it, then wrapped it up. She said it would take a little while to heal because his claws were inside for so long.

Mom put me on bed rest, I wasn't allowed to leave the house unless one of them went with me. So, I would stay in bed, and think about what I could have done differently to not put me here. Which is probably nothing. Now and then, I would unwrap my bandage and see if it has healed, so I could go out. I'm not the type of person that likes to be cooped up.

I limped over to my window, looking out I see that the moon is almost full, then I realize, oh my God. Tonight is a full moon which means, Erica, Boyd, and Isaac are going to change. I need to go help Derek, as much as I don't want to, I'm mainly doing it for the three Betas. I ripped the bandage off and went to open my bedroom door.

"Where do you think you're going?" uncle Mark asked, crossing his arms.

"Uncle Mark, tonight is the full moon. Derek's Betas, they're going to be shifting for the first time. He won't be able to do it alone. Please, as much as I hate him right now, he needs someone."

He sighed, as he looked at my wound. It was slightly healing but not fully. "Well, let's go," he said as I groaned. We hopped into his car and took off towards the Railway Depot.

We entered the subway station where they all were, interrupting a conversation which I wish we hadn't.

"Don't worry, he's not going to have it easy tonight, either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight, you're going to want to kill anything you can find." Derek informed.

Erica chuckled, "Good thing I had my period last week, then."

"Well, this one's for you," Derek said holding up a crown of spikes.

My uncle and I step into the room, "Ouch, that's going to hurt." my uncle said.

"How's your leg?" Isaac asked sweetly.

Before I could answer, my uncle quickly said, "She's fine."

Derek looked confused, I didn't bring it up because I knew he would ask a million questions and who knows what would happen next.

"Listen, I know tonight is a full moon. I-I thought you could use some help in case anything goes wrong." I spoke.

"What about you two?" Boyd questioned, "Do you two-shift?"

I smile, "We can control our shift... sometimes," I slowly turn my head towards my uncle, referring to him.

"What can I say? Anger gets the best of me."

-An Hour Later-

Uncle Mark waited outside the subway car, Derek and I started to chain the three of them down. We started with Erica. Isaac held Erica still, Derek began tightening the headband on her head as droplets of blood dripped from her forehead.

Derek chained up Isaac, and I chained up Boyd. I walked off the subway car towards my uncle, "You feeling anything?" I asked him.

His eyes were shut tightly, he was moving his head back and forth slowly. I knew the full moon was taking some sort of effect on him. When my uncle shifts from the full moon, he's a whole new person, his wolf side is a monster, and very hard to reach the loving uncle, until the full moon is over.

Before I knew it, a crash came from the subway car. I had no time to deal with my uncle at that point so I took off. All the Betas were screaming and pulling at their chains. Derek and I whip out our claws, Erica is the first to get free and she takes a swipe at Derek. While Derek was dealing with her, Isaac leaped out of the subway car window.

I ran after Isaac, ending up in the woods. I called out for Isaac when someone knocked me to the ground, and I looked up to see Isaac on top of me.

"I-Isaac, it's me, Leia. I n-need you to-to control it." I stuttered. I honestly have no idea why I was scared at that moment.

He stared at me for a few seconds, then his eyes grew. He jumped off me, grabbing my hand, and we ran back to Derek. Derek managed to chain Erica back up to one of the poles in the subway car. Boyd tried to escape when Isaac came back in and knocked him down. I walked in and looked at Derek with a smile, he smiled back at me and looked at Isaac. They nod at one another in recognition.

Derek is re-chaining Isaac up, "I think you'll be okay now. Looks like you found an anchor."

Isaac nodded, "My father."

Derek scoffed, "Your father locked you in a freezer in the basement to punish you."

Isaac frowned, "He didn't use to..."

I gave Isaac a small smile, with a wave as I exited the subway car. I saw my uncle sitting on a large rock, "Some help you were."

"Look, I'm sorry okay. But something is not right. A full moon hasn't affected me since..."

I interrupted him, "If you bring him up, I will kill you myself. That's a promise, not a threat."

He held his hands in the air in defeat. We headed home, for all I wanted to do was go to bed.
