I've been up since the crack of dawn, running around the woods.

My hind leg was nearly snatched up by a bear trap lying buried on the forest floor. I looked around with my Alpha eyes for any other sign of bear traps and there were several lying about. I decided to get rid of them because Coach is taking everyone outside today for gym class. It took about half an hour to get rid of the traps that lined the cross-country trail.

The cross-country team has just arrived at the preserve, where Coach was waiting. Coach blew his whistle and everyone started to run. I followed along the tree line keeping up with the leader, Kira. It started with Danny, but Kira began to use her abilities and started to take the lead.

Scott runs at Kira and catches her, swinging her high in the air. Stiles runs up to everyone and tells them to stop. He starts to brush the leaves aside and finds a metal chain. He pulls the chain up, my heart begins to race as I fear that I may have not disabled that trap. Until it reaches the end, thankfully there is no trap, and it's just a chain.

Stiles frowns, "Congratulations, Stilinski. You found a length of chain. Can somebody now please tell me what the hell's going on?" Coach asked sarcastically. He takes a step into a tripwire and all I hear is a 'whoosh' and Coach has an arrow in his gut.

"...Oh, crap," he said as he fell down.

I shift and run over to them, sliding next to Scott. "I thought I disarmed everything."

"What are you talking about?" Stiles asked straight-faced.

"I–I've been out all morning. I thought I'd–I'd do you guys a favor by getting rid of them, so no one got hurt. But... I guess I didn't do a good job. I'm sorry." I stood up and took off running.

I sure I've mentioned to you guys before how Chris Argent was there for my family, and he was truly the only person in the Argent family we could trust back then. And the one I had a deep crush on, which I don't anymore so let's just get that straight. I just want to talk to him right, which is odd because I haven't talked to him in a while. But after knowing what he had to do to his wife, I knew he would be the right person for me to go to right now. I called his phone but it went straight to voice mail, so I called again.

"Argent."

"Chris. It's Leia."

"Leia? What's wrong? Why are you calling?" he asked worriedly.

I broke down, "I try...I try all the time to do...to do what's right and it always–always backfires."

"Leia, explain to me what did you try to do?"

"I tried to disarm the bear traps and I forgot about the tripwires, and someone got hurt because of me. Someone could die." I said wiping my tears. I heard ticking in the background and I knew that was no clock.
