~Home~

Ever since the Mexico incident we've all been kinda distant. For the past few days, my girls have been getting older and stronger. I've been tempted several times to call Stiles but Devana has been snappish lately. When I would ask them who would they want to see Allie would say Liam and Devana would say, Parrish. Then they would argue and fight each other. It would take me, my dad, and Sam to separate them. Sometimes we let them fight it out, eventually, they get tired. Well, at least Allie does and then it makes it easier to restrain just Devana.

Scott is sitting on the hood of Stiles' jeep, watching the sky. Stiles has a map of the San Fransico region laid out on the hood next to Scott. He is circling places to live once they finish freshman year of college. "All right, so I found some two-bedroom apartments in the Mission District, but they're pretty expensive. A couple in Haight and Ashbury, also expensive..."

"What about Berkley? Don't a lot of students live around there?" Scott asked.

"Yeah, yeah, we could try Knob Hill. But the jeep would probably burn through a lot of clutches." Stiles made more circles on the map.

"You're bringing the jeep?" Scott asked.

Stiles looked at him annoyed, "You know the plan, okay? No one gets left behind. That's the plan. Lydia's not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford. Kira's thinking USF. Malia's, uh, gonna, you know, she'll figure something out, okay. The plans perfect."

"And Leia?" Scott asked. Stiles didn't answer him. "...Or we could also wait until we actually get into college and then figure out where to live," Scott said with a sigh as he thought about Leia and her plans.

"I have a vision, dude. Okay? And it's a beautiful vision. Don't ruin the vision. Okay, we can check out the East Bay. Haven't looked at Oakland yet, you know. You're all right? You're starting to feel it?" he said, referring to the full moon.

"No. Just thinking," Scott replied.

"About what?"

"Senior year... my family... Leia..." he answered.

Stiles looked at him shocked, "Senior year, come on, that's, that's... that's nothing. That's going to be easy. And why are you so worried about your family... and Leia."

"Cause I'm never there as much as I want to be."

"Scott, Leia knows you try and I'm sure your kids do too."

Scott nodded and looked back up at the sky. "...Hey, you ever heard of 'Regression to the mean?'"

"No. I don't think so."

"It was something Deaton told me once. It was the way of saying life can't ever be all good or all bad. You know, eventually, things have to come back to the middle. So, think about the last few months. Things have been good right? But not amazing." Scott explained.

"Yeah, but no one tried to kill us in six months either."

"Right. We've been pretty much in the middle for a while... This means, at some point, the scale has to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get really good again..."

"Or really bad," Stiles said. A storm gathered overhead and lightning struck. "Do you think it's been long enough?" Stiles asked.

"Do you think it's been long enough?" Stiles asked
