Today, I had chemistry first period with Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Allison, Erica, and Isaac. Scott told me they were going to test Lydia to see if she was the Kanima. Before I could ask him what a Kanima was Mr. Harris began speaking. "Einstein once said, 'Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity... And I'm not sure about the universe.' I, myself have encountered infinite stupidity. So, to combat the plague of ignorance in my class, you're going to combine efforts through a round of group experiments! Let's see if two heads are indeed better than one. Or, in Stilinski's case, less than one." he said rudely.

Mr. Harris looked around the room, "Erica, you take the first station. You'll start with-" every boy in the room raised their hand, hoping Mr. Harris would pick them.

"I didn't ask for volunteers. Put your hormonal hands down. Start with Mr. McCall. All right, next two."

Lydia and Allison were teamed up, and I was teamed up with Stiles. I heard Scott and Erica talking.

"Whatever you're thinking about doing. Wait. Give me a chance to talk to Derek." Scott said quietly.

Erica seductively asked, "Why don't you talk to me instead?"

Scott just stared Erica down, when I followed Erica's gaze, she was staring at Allison. "That's funny-in school, you guys act like you're broken up, but she's all over you."

"I don't know what you're talking about, " Scott said evasively.

Erica leaned in, "If I were Allison, I'd be wanting you-all the time."

"You're not my type," Scott said.

Erica smirked, "I'm exactly your type."

"Switch!" Mr. Harris yelled.

Allison was supposed to go with Erica but I grabbed her arm, sending her a wink. She responded with a smile as I sat down next to Erica, she looked at me with wide eyes.

"So, Erica what are you planning to do to her?" I asked as I was adding the ingredients.

"Don't you think the better question is, 'What's she going to do to us?'"

I looked at her, shining my whitish-blue icy eyes, "I don't care if she is the Kanima. I will not let you, Derek, or anyone hurt her." as a low growl erupted from my throat.

I felt a hand slide up my thigh, then her claws embedded in my skin. Her smile faded quickly when she looked down and the tips of her fingers started to form ice around them. She yanked them out swiftly, holding her hand in pain, and noticed her claws were frozen.

"Time! If you've catalyzed the reaction correctly, you should now be looking at a crystal. Now, for the part of the last experiment, I'm sure you'll all enjoy... You can eat it..." Mr. Harris informed.

Most of the kids had goo and some had brick-formed crystals, which were inedible. The only one that was right was Lydia's, so everyone watched her.

Scott yelled, "Lydia!" everyone turned towards him in silence.

"What?" she asked.

Scott stood awkwardly, "Nothing."

She ate it and nothing... nothing happened. Which means, she could be the Kanima. Oh, no. Still, I'm not going to let anyone kill or harm my friend.
