Joy And Pain [COMPLETED]

👋👋Allow me to reintroduce myself.

"Joy." both Laylay and Pain said in unison.

They both looked at each other confused.

"Excuse me." Joy said as she hurried back into the bathroom.

"Give me a minute." Pain excused Layla as he pulled Laylay to the side near the bathroom.

"How you know shawty?" Pain asked looking at the bathroom door.

"Well, we just kinda met." She told him honestly as he tried to rush into the bathroom.

"Pain what are you doing? That the women's room." Laylay reminded him as she tugged on his arm.

Pain sighed "I just need to talk to her real quick."

"Okay. Well, wait til she comes out. Just cause you own the building doesn't mean you don't follow the rules." Laylay reminded him.

"Act like you were raised like a gentleman." She slapped him on the back of his head.

He sucked his teeth. Here she went acting like someone's mother again. "Fine. But please don't let her leave until I get a minute to talk to her okay?"

Laylay nodded.

Pain felt like a complete dick after seeing Joy again. He was mad at himself for how he did her really. He knew he was better than that. He shook his head remembering how just a few months ago he refused to be in a relationship but now found himself longing for companionship. His brother was right as always. Things always come back to bite you in the ass if you aren't careful.

Now here was one of the most beautiful women he ever seen crossing his path again.

Pain smirked. Shawty was still bad. Whether it was the club or classy attire she damn sure could dress. That's not even mentioning just how breathtaking she was. He licked his lips thinking about the night they spent together.

He wondered how she ended up at his grand opening of all places.

"Hey babe. You ready?" Layla came around the corner breaking his thoughts.

"Hey ma. Yea I am." He hugged her.

They walked over near the bar as she began introducing the women.

"This is my girl Sarah. Her cousin Tatiana and friend Kesha. And here comes Joy. I think your sister introduced you earlier?" Layla introduced the women and each of their jaws dropped as Joy walked up.

"Hey." the ladies said dryly to him.

Kesha's eyes bounce back from Joy to Pain.

Joy waved as she avoided eye contact with him.

"Hey" She said lightly.

"H-" Pain started before being cut off.

"It's time for you to do your thing." Laylay walked over grabbing Pain.

"I'll be back." he told them as he was being pulled away they all rolled their eyes.

Layla never even noticed as she watched him make his way to give an opening announcement.

Pain headed to the stage and gave his speech thanking and welcoming everyone to his new business. "I want to thank you all for coming out and supporting Beam and Company. First let me introduce myself. My name is Isaac Beams.." he started off before he discussed his vision for the company, his goals, and projections and before wrapping up and telling everyone to enjoy themselves.

Kesha pulled Joy to the side trying to get a chance to talk to her.

"Hey bestie. I'm sorry about earlier. I feel bad." Kesha told her bumping her arm.
