Home Sweet Home Part 2

Joy just got out of the shower and laid on the living room couch re-watching the first season of You.

She sat there sulking because no matter what she did all she could do was be reminded of Pain. Every show she watched, every room she walked into, and every restaurant she went to reminded her of him.

She tossed her hair into a messy bun before picking up her phone to see what she could order for delivery since she was starting to get hungry.

Joy turned down the TV thinking she heard keys in the door but turned it back up thinking it was all in her mind.

Her counselor told her sometimes she may overreact or tend to be more jumpy due to her recent kidnapping experience. She figured she was fine just a little bit of an overreaction and blamed it on the show.

"Joy." Pain tapped her shoulder causing her to jump up and scream dropping her phone.

"Fuck." She let out picking it up realizing she shattered her screen.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He told her sounding softer than normal.

"So much for that. What do you want? Or are you here to kick me out of this house too?" She asked him with an attitude standing up and grabbing her phone.

Pain couldn't help but smirk at her attitude.

He knew she had alright to be mad especially because he crossed the line. A few times.

"Joy I'm actually here to apologize." he told her.

"Uhm hmm." Joy looked at him waiting.

"Look, I'm not going to act like this easy for me but you are new to me. I woke up and everyone tellin me some of the craziest shit I ever heard. Then there was you. You were new, beautiful, scary, emotional, and pregnant. I get it, none of how I reacted was fair to you but I'm tryin." He told her as she gave him a blank stare.

"I honestly didn't mean to hurt you. I'm sorry because regardless of my situation you deserve better than that. Joy you have been patient and I know that this shit hasn't been easy to deal wit, especially with the baby and all. Just please allow me to try to do better?" He finished.

"I just don't know." Joy told him.

"Can we please try?" He asked he asked looking at her.

Joy looked at the familiar stranger longing for him.

"Maybe. Just give me some time to think about it." She told him.

"Okay." He told her as she walked towards the kitchen to grab her mac book.

He looked at his home admiring the changes. It was way bigger than he remembered also the neighborhood changed quite a bit. Pain continued to look around and could tell that some of his designs had been completed as he glanced into each room.

Joy looked up to him from her screen realizing that this was still all kind of new to him.

"I mean its your house if you wanna look around you can." Joy told him looking up from her screen.

"Sean said it was Our house, right? We were moving here after the baby came?" He asked her scanning the downstairs.

"Yeah." Joy confirmed.

"Well, are you up to show me around?" Pain smiled at her.

Joy didn't want to but she also didn't want to be rude. Deep down she hoped this moment could bring back or trigger a memory for him so she agreed. Really it was the only reason why she agreed.

"Let me order something to eat first." She told him as she scanned available options on her laptop. 

"Can I eat wit you?" He asked her.
