"Girl he is just jealous that's all." Kesha explained to Joy after she had filled her in about yesterday.

"Well that shit reminded me of Montay and I didn't like it." She confessed to her.

Joy's ex Montay had a bad temper.

"Well, you are going to have to talk to him eventually. Wait, you did you tell him it wasn't Greg's baby right? " Kesha asked her as she grabbed the bags from the floor and helped her put away her groceries.

"I know. I know. I just wasn't feeling it yesterday. And I didn't think I needed to honestly." She told her closing the fridge.

"Like I told you Band-Aid. You just gotta rip it off." She told her with a shrug.

"Your right. I know you are. I promise the next time I see him I will talk to him like an adult." She told her crossing her fingers before finishing putting things up.

"I'm glad you said that. uhhmm." she cleared her throat before continuing. "That is the main reason I got Greg to get you today off." She told her smiling.

"I bet." Joy rolled her eyes.

"Well, come on." Kesha told her grabbing her keys off the table.

"Look Joy I'm sorry. Can you please call me back?" Pain left his 3rd voicemail since yesterday.

He knew she was pissed.

Things had been going well between them until he let Layla and those nurses get into his head. He slammed his fists down thinking he may have overreacted a bit. He was just confused why she didn't say she was pregnant.

Tap tap tap.

He looked up as his secretary entered.

"Sir you have a visitor and your sister-in-law is also here." She peaked her head in.

"Send them in and tell Lay I'll be down right after." He waved her off.

After a few moments, there was a knock at his office door.

"Hey." He looked up and saw Joy standing there.

"Hey. I'm sorry about yesterday. But I'm glad you're here." He told her standing up.

"Look the reason I came is because we do need to talk." She said putting her hand up for him to stop.

"Okay, what's up?" He asked keeping his distance.

She fiddled with her fingers.

"Well, I've been trying to figure out how to say it." She paused looking at him.

His face held a blank expression.

"I'm pregnant." She blurted out.

"Yea you yelled that to me yesterday." He said unsure of how to respond.

"So uhm. I found out what I was having yesterday." She told him to avoid eye contact.

"Oh ok... Wait how far are you?" Pain asked her confused. Looking at her he couldn't even tell she was pregnant.
