"We are not finna sleep in." Joy said stretching as she calmly got up and headed towards Koi's room.

"Chill. You said he has to get used to it. He's fine, look." Pain said pointing to Koi's monitor.

"I just hate to hear him cry." Joy pouted.

"He's not even cryin. That boy tryna figure out why no one comin to his call." Pain smirked lifting his head from the pillow.

"Exactly, I'm finna go get him." Joy said headed for the door again.

"He's good. I fed and changed him like an hour ago and he's just gettin up." Pain told her.

"Maybe he nee-"Joy started again.

"Leave him alone. You talk bout errybody else and you doin the same thing." Pain told her as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back into the bed as she started to laugh.

"Look." Pain pulled her over to the monitor as they listened to him fake cry.

Eventually, his little cries turned into cooing as he lay there in his crib.

"See he is okay." Pain told her to reassure her.

"Uhm hmm." Joy rolled her eyes.

"Sounds like you need a break." Pain told her.

"Break from what?" Joy asked looking confused.

"Just a few moments to relax. I know I be gone and you have him most of the day." Pain started.

"We are f-" Joy started.

"Yea yea 'fine'. Just let him chill wit daddy. I'll be working from home the next month so it will be an easy transition when you go back to work." Pain told her.

"I can't let you do that." Joy told him as he still held her in his arms.

"You can't let me take care of you and my son?" Pain asked confused.

"No you know I don't mean that." Joy told him.

"You deserve a lil break. I figured when you go back. Me and him could spend a few weeks together before we find a sitter. Speakin of spendin' I think you should go out to the mall wit ya girls today while me and our lil man wait on you to get home. " Pain kissed her.

"I don't know." Joy started as she stroked his face.

"Well, it is too late. I already told Kesha to come get you out of the house." Pain said as Joy rolled her eyes.

Joy knew that Kesha would not let up on her getting out. She knew her lil crew missed her but she just wanted to get used to mom life. Joy was trying to get used to Koi not being inside of her. She had grown used to tapping her belly and him responding. For her, it was a new and unique connection she had fallen for.

"Have I told you I can't stand you lately?" Joy said as she tried to climb out of bed.

"Erry day but you also tell me you love me sooo." Pain said pulling her back into the bed as the rolled around laughing.

"So you tellin me yo ass lied?" Kesha looked to Joy.

Joy started laughing at Kesha being over dramatic.

"Girl it literally hasn't even been a week since we've been back." Joy laughed at Kesha as they walked into the store.

"I don't care about none of that. We agreed you would take a test as soon as we got back." Kesha looked over at her.

"Yea, but I have been fine ever since that flight. I'm not gainin no weight and guess whose not moody?" Joy told her with a smile as they headed toward a familiar store
