A few days had passed and Joy finally seemed to be at ease.

When she left she didn't know where to go at first. She didn't want to go back to her old place. Her lease was up in a few months and she didn't have the courage to go back alone. Well at least without Pain. Although both Kesha and Laylay offered she just didn't want to burden them. They both offered her a place to stay but honestly, as much as she appreciated them she figured maybe she needed to get familiar with doing things by herself.

Joy had just got back from her counseling session as she headed back to the home Pain planned on them moving into after the baby had come. She had been staying there since she had left 'Isaacs' home. Joy had also been meeting with a counselor weekly since Montay had kidnapped her and her counselor told her she may just be nesting and getting ready for her baby to arrive, nothing out of the usual. Her counselor said her feelings were understandable with everything going on but suggested she just relax until their son came before stressing herself out more.

Joy unlocked the door and Kesha pulled up right behind her car.

"Girl don't you be avoiding me" Kesha rushed out of her car.

Joy laughed at how extra Kesha had been. She appreciated her friend for everything she had been through with her. Kesha had been coming to check on her since she figured Pain and her were practically strangers.

"K bae relax before you make me stress out." Joy joked opening the door and waving her in.

"Lemme get those." Kesha approached before grabbing the bags.

"Thanks, I am tiiiirreed." Joy told her rubbing her lower back.

"I was worried when you didn't answer my call this morning." Kesha told her bringing the bags in as she did.

"Sorry, I had my appointment today. I just needed to talk. I know you goin to say I could have called but everyone just seems to have their own stuff goin on. I feel like I come with too much. Decided maybe to get some outside eyes." Joy told her truthfully as she started unloading the bags.

Kesha looked at her and sighed. 

"J Bae don't do that. I know this whole thing is a lot but know you can always call me. I don't want you to feel or be alone. Especially when Kesean gets here." She smiled winking at her stomach.

"Girl I am not naming my son that!" Joy laughed as she finished putting things away.

"Ima still try everytime... But fa real." Kesha shrugged before giving her a caring look.

"I know I know. I'll do better I'm not trying to shut anyone out I promise I'm just trying to figure it out. Especially with him coming." Joy hugged her.

"Okay, you better not be." Kesha told her hugging her back before she rubbed her belly.

"I like what you've done with the place. I mean when can I get a full tour." Kesha smiled looking around.

"Girl I'm tired." Joy chuckled. "We going to have to go slow." She grabbed a bottle of water.

Joy took her through the dining room with a large wooden table that could seat 8 people. On the walls, there were pieces of art and mirrors. On the back of the wall, it held a China cabinet that was still empty.

After walking back through the foyer she showed her the living room which held a large grey sectional and a beige rug. The end tables had matching lamps and curtains. A large 72-inch was mounted on the wall with LED light strips.

"This is nice." Kesha admitted.

"I hadn't gotten the chance to do the guest rooms. They basically look the same." Joy told her as Kesha peaked in before they headed upstairs.
