Paying it forward

Joy woke up to Koi's light cries. He was almost a month old and she was still shocked she had a baby not long ago. At least looking at her it was hard to tell. She had felt blessed that most of the weight she gained was all water weight. Her stomach was flat for the most part and she had to admit having him helped even more with her curves.

He had been a good baby so far. He slept well and he was a good eater. Joy knew it probably helped that they had a big support system. Koi was a little cuddle bug and just loved being held.

"Hey, mommies man!" She picked him up checking his diaper.

"Whew, let's get you changed and ready how about that?" She kissed him and pinched his cheeks.

She loved his smile. It was the same one Pain would shoot her.

Joy got him ready for the day and hopped in the shower quickly before she got ready.

He was sleeping like usual. She smiled watching him lay there. She couldn't help but be in love with him. She got his bag ready and shot Pain a message letting him know they would meet him for lunch.

"Damg I hate interrupting your nap." She smiled swooping him up in her arms and kissing him.

She loaded his diaper bag and car seat in the truck before heading to Pain's office.

It took her longer than normal since when they arrived she had to change Koi again before putting him in the stroller.

"Let's go see daddy." She told him as he let off a half smile with his eyes still closed.

They entered his office building to be greeted by his employees who were eager to see the baby. After about 10 minutes and many people in their faces, Joy finally headed back to Pains office.

"Bae." Joy tapped on the door before entering.

She opened the door only to see a woman in Pain's chair.

"Uhm can I help you?" Joy asked as the woman was caught off guard removing her feet from his desk.

"I'm waiting on Pain." She told her.

"Okay. For what?" Joy asked as she recalled seeing her face before she just couldn't remember exactly where.

"Like I said Pain." The woman told her rudely.

"You do know there's a lobby right?" Joy asked as Pain entered behind her.

He nearly walked into her looking at his phone.

"Whoa bae. My bad. I was literally just reading your message. I just got out of my meeting." He held onto her not realizing the woman behind her.

"Bae some rude ass lady is at your desk." Joy told him motioning to the woman behind her.

His eyes widen at the sight of her.

"Sasha what the hell?" Pain asked as he still held Joy in his arms.

"Pain I just need to talk to you. alone." She looked to Joy.

"Whatever you need to say to him go heads." Joy told her.

"I was talkin to Pain obviously." She looked to Pain who stood there next to Joy who held onto Koi's stroller tightening her grip.

"Look Sasha I already told you I was engaged and Im in love wit the mother of my child what else do you need to hear?" He said not really looking at her.

"Pain I still love you. Regardless of what you have goin on. Maybe you feel trapped with her. But I'm here to tell you. I accept it. All of it. I'll accept your child. I really don't want you to give up on us. Just tell me what I need to do." Sasha begged him as if Joy wasn't there
