Ch. 87 So Many Decisions (And Boys), So Little Time

Bakugo refused to sit down and instead stood off to the side, his arms crossed. "Are you in charge here now or what?"

"Boys. It's been a minute. Let's catch up. Let's chat."

"Um, Mr. Hawks, um, sir?"

"Yes, Deku?"

"Are you in charge now that..." Deku nervously glanced over to Todoroki who was calmly sitting next to him.

"Now that the big man's under investigation, you mean? Pretty much. As far as you three are concerned, you report to me and me only. Got that?"

Deku and Todoroki nodded. Bakugo continued staring at the wall.

"Boys, you're here because we have intel to suspect that the League of Villains is working with a yakuza partner called the Shie Hassaikai."

"Todoroki," Deku asked, "when you were held by the League, did you overhear anything about this group?"

"No."

"Nothing at all?  What about the people you were around while you were there?" Deku asked. "Maybe there are clues in what they said to you."

"The only people I spent time with were y/n and Shigaraki."

"I'm sure any details you can give us about those times would be helpful," Deku insisted. 

"Well, it was the first time I'd ever gotten a  - " Todoroki started to say. 

"Focus. I need you three to focus," Hawks interrupted. "This whole thing is being kept pretty quiet, but lucky for us, even the quietest birds still make noise. Our mission is to find out more about this group, who they are, and what, exactly, they're up to. Ultimately, our plan is to find and invade the Shie Hassaikai hide out."

Bakugo scoffed. "Then let's quit talking and get to work blowing up this place and all of the assholes inside."

Hawks laughed. "Let's start by trying to figure out who these assholes are."

A shower had been followed by sex, which had been followed by brunch made with Aizawa's own hands, which had been followed by more sex and then a long nap under those deliciously comfortable sheets.

It was midafternoon by the time I finally snuck out of the teachers' dorm building and back to my own.

In the haze of sex and sweat and snuggles, I hadn't bothered to turn my phone back on at all. I knew I needed to be alone before I dealt with all of that.

I thought that using the dorm's back door would help me avoid seeing anyone in the common room, and I had almost made it to the stairwell when I heard my name called out.

"Y/n! Hey!"

Midoriya was waving me over.

"You might be just who we need right now," he said.

"Um, okay. We?"

Deku pointed to the couch where I saw his two friends from the party – Mirio and Tamaki.

"Todoroki, Kacchan and I are working with them on a new mission as part of our internship. I think we need your help."

"I don't know what I could do to help you guys."

"It's about the League of Villains. Can I ask you a couple questions?"

I really wanted to get out of the common area as fast as possible. But Deku's face was so sincere, and his friends seemed nice enough.
