Shoto's gorgeous mismatched eyes peered down at me, our bare chests pressed against each other in the water. The lights from the pool house sent dreamy shadows over us both, but even in the darkness, I could see his eyes and I knew that look. Lust.

Shoto leaned toward me slowly, our lips barely brushing each other's, but I pulled back from the kiss before it went further.

"Wait."

"Was that not okay?"

"No, I mean, yes, I mean, yes, it was okay, it's just..."

I knew Dabi was somewhere nearby in the darkness, and I assumed that he could probably see us or at least see enough to know what was going on. More than a small part of me felt weird about making out with his brother right in front of him.

My brain was going back and forth between what I wanted and what I knew. Of course I knew that Dabi had seen me kiss other guys before, but this wasn't just any guy. But then again, Dabi wasn't my boyfriend, and I'd be lying if I said that Shoto's kisses didn't make my entire body throb. The slow and firm way that Shoto kissed was intoxicating.

While I thought about this, Shoto leaned in and let his mouth explore my neck, goosebumps popping up on my skin at his touch. I shivered as his hands glided up my body from my waist to my breasts. A hushed moan escaped from my mouth when his lips hit my shoulders at the exact same moment as when he squeezed a nipple between his fingers.

But while Shoto kissed me, I could see behind us, and after a moment I saw a dark figure walking toward us. A dark figure with a small blue flame lighting the way.

Was Dabi really that sadistic that he would choose this moment to come talk to me and Shoto? This was not going to go well.

"Shoto."

"Hm?" he hummed, continuing to tease my nipples and suck on my shoulder and neck.

"Shoto," I said, gently pushing him back, "do you think you could grab our drinks from inside? Or maybe just make me a new one?"

He seemed confused by the sudden change in mood. "Sure. Yeah. Will you be okay here? I'll be right back."

"Yes! Thank you!"

As soon as I saw Shoto go inside, I immediately swam over to intercept Dabi on the other side of the pool before he got closer. Other than the blue flame in his hand, there was only a little light coming from the pool house, but I didn't want to risk anyone seeing us together.

Once near me, Dabi crouched down on the edge of the pool. I could tell that he was irritated, but he also seemed slightly amused.

"I can do that trick, too, you know," he said, dipping both hands in the water. Suddenly the entire pool was lit up in blue light, the cold water quickly feeling more like a hot bath than an outdoor pool.

"This isn't a competition, Dabi."

"Everything is a competition."

"No, it's really not."

He halfway smiled and shook his head as he stood up. "Try telling that to those two wannabe heroes here with you tonight."

Speaking of them, I quickly glanced toward the house; Shinso was inside somewhere and there was no sign of Shoto yet.

"You need to go," I told Dabi. "Those two heroes will not be happy to see you out here talking to me. Shinso was on the roof that night with us, he saw how that all went down. He knows who you are."

"So?" Dabi asked, his bright blue eyes unblinking. "Why do I care? What do I have to lose? The only thing I want can't seem to stay away from me. I'm feeling pretty confident against these heroes right now."
